Little gem in the island

This is a very hard to book accommodation. You have to book the rooms months or even year ahead especially for public holidays. This is because they only have 3 rooms in the Oyster Inn. Why it is so popular? As it is on the centre of Oneroa. Get down to the road, the shops and restaurants are right in front of you! We booked 2 rooms and they are next to each other. The rooms have simple layout, contemporary design and cooling (has air cond/heat pump). We have a large bathroom at the corner room but a small bathroom in the other unit. Wonderful toiletries were used. The rate comes with breakfast which only served to guests. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming

We arrived early after our ferry crossing.
Offered a complimentary cup of coffee then received excellent advice on what to see and do.
The evening menu was great and we loved the oysters.
We would stay again.

Lovely but not worth $500

We spent one night at the Oyster Inn last week. While the place was lovely and the staff were friendly - I was pretty shocked at the price of the room. It was clean and practical, but at over $500, i expected a far more luxury room. It was comfortable, but incredibly basic. Sadly we were also kept awake all night by a humming noise that went off every 3 minutes, all night. I think there are more affordable and nicer places on the island i would choose if I went again.
