How to Get There
This is truly a great place to stay, and I have had the opportunity to stay (and write previous review) in the past, but this experience was completely different.
I still recommend stay with the Hotel, but take note- avoid the first floor (in fact ground floor).. if they offer you a room on the “first” floor, ask for another!
The first floor is mostly at he front of he hotel and run parallel to the drive way. I was kept awake with consistent noice and traffic, the worst is when there is a bus idling and the vibration went right through the room. Not good.
Stay, but not on the “first” floor!
Excellent hotel- enjoyed our stay albeit very brief. Check-in staff all very pleasant and efficient, all luggage promptly delivered to our room. Room was spacious and decor very pleasing, bed extremely comfortable.
Pleasant area around outside pool with loungers, the availability of showers, hairdryers etc for use after checking out to freshen up in prior to a late flight was brilliant. Small negative comment is the short distance away from the city centre but courtesy bus that is frequent and reliable makes up for this.
Would definitely use this hotel again.
We had booked a table for 20 for the lunch service $89.
So overwhelmed by all of the choices. The oysters were the main attraction in our family we were suprised at no matter how much we took it still looked as it did when we started. Different Meats all ready cooked or you could choose raw meats to be cooked in front of you. Sushi was the other station i tried along with the different types of bread. The best station was the dessert the fudge, icecream and chocolate fountain with fruit.
The drinks however were quite expensive.
Great Hotel that included all the amenities from Bath Robes to Cell phones given to each Guest to use to call Family in the US or take it with you to use while exploring Auckland. I loved the free Shuttle service and the Comfort of my Luxury room. I wish I could stay one more day just to enjoy my Room.
We stayed at this place twice when we were in Auckland. It is located in the heart of city (walking distance from skycity tower). One of the good things is that they have a shuttle which runs every half an hour to harbour which is another place for clubbing and eating out.
We booked deluxe room which was quiet spacious and had all amenities and toiletries. The only downside was that there was no free parking and they charge 45 dollars for valet parking but I guess it's the same with any 5 star of Auckland.
But overall a great experience. Their breakfast buffet was simply awesome and had more than 40 odd varieties. I would really recommend this hotel if one visits Auckland.
