How to Get There
Family vacation to Athens, we stayed in this pleasant hotel very close to a lot of easily accessible locations in Athens. We had 4 people (2 kids) and stayed in the Grand Superior Room. When we arrived, we were greeted with the very friendly reception that showed us to our room and gave us an overview of all the hotel amenities. Breakfast at this hotel is great. A huge selection of food in a buffet style setting but the best part is that you can special order other items such as white egg omelet, Pancakes, and Liege Waffles (definitely need to try this). Breakfast staff was very friendly and remembered what we liked to drink without having to tell them.
Grand Superior Room - Room was modern, very clean and spacious however don't expect much from the view as you are facing an abandoned building. Housekeeping was very accommodating as the kids liked to sleep a certain way that they were able to adjust for them. We had a problem with the cable reception as it kept going in and out but wasn't a big deal for us.
Sights - 15 minutes uphill hike to the Acropolis via the Southern Slope. 10 minutes walk to Monastiraki Square. 10 minute walk to Plaka. 20 minute train ride to the New Acropolis Museum. The hotel is very close to a lot of the sights you would like to see in Athens.
Transportation - 5 minute walk to the closest train station at Theseiou that can take you easily to whichever location you need to get to.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s close to everything. The breakfast is wonderful! I loved the fresh Greek yogurt with honey and fresh cherries. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We will def stay here if ever in Athens again.
Very good check in & first class information about Athens & the area.
We had room 9, "Thisio", at the rear, very clean & quiet.
Breakfast is very good, all options available, hot & cold with plenty of coffee/tea.
Location of hotel is excellent for all the Athens sites & for many restaurants that are within a 3 minute walk.
If we returned to Athens we would stop here again.
This hotel is a jewel in a neighborhood that may look scary at first but it is very friendly and convenient. There is no fear walking day or night around the area. The hotels new facade stands out in the older neighborhood and a good preview of what’s inside.
The front desk staff is great with directions, suggestions and tips to make your stay a great experience. A knock on the door minutes after settling into my room brought a sampler of Greek delights complete with a Greek liquor.
Clean fresh rooms, great toiletries and breakfast buffet included make it a great place to start your Athens exploration.
Less than a five minute walk are great inexpensive restaurants and tons of shopping little plazas with street entertainment and people watching.
The restaurant selections are nice and reasonably priced making ‘eating in’ a good alternative if you are too tired from exploring everything there is to offer.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens for business or pleasure.
Spent 4 nights here for a city break. Totally reccomend it.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and nice with fab big bathroom. Breakfast great. Loved the area it was in. So central and close to everything. Right in heart of flea market land so really interesting. Close to cute street with lovely bars and cafes too. Ignore reviews that say its a dodgy area, it absolutely isn't. Its Greek life and real. If you choose to stay here you will be really happy with your choice, we definetly were.
