What To Know
- Up-and-coming but not quite there yet, Psiri oozes exotic atmosphere in streets packed with Arab bazaars and bizarre boutiques, but it’s best not to stray late at night
- Fans of peace and quiet should book upper-floor rooms away from the lively street scene, especially on weekends
- Dress code is trendy-casual, so leave the twinset and pearls at home
- Kids are well seen to with free cribs, a special children’s menu and babysitters by arrangement
- The pool is open year-round, but isn't heated. It's normally warm enough to swim from late March to October
- Free WiFi
- Parking On Site

How to Get There
The hotel itself is great. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were both clean and trendy. The rooftop bar is very cool both during the day and night. The gym looked small but decent, and the breakfast was very good. The area is not the best, but definitely within walking distance to the major sights and close to a metro stop. There was a security guard at night, but the design of the hotel doesn't help the safety factor. It's down a bit of a side street and there is no way for those in the lobby to see what's happening right outside. I had no issues, but a friend had her phone snatched right out of her hand while she was talking on it around 8:30pm, so just be aware of your surroundings.
Modern contemporary and affordable hotel in the DESIGN group, located close to the central market and a short walk from the more touristy areas. Super friendly staff and the 'When in Athens' booklet was a great guide to local bars and cocktail places I would never have found by myself. The low bed was fine but I kept stubbing my toe on the sharp edges. It is at the cheap end of the very high end DESIGN group and good value for money. I would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was for us the perfect hotel for our 5 nights in Athens. It is a modern, friendly hotel with clean rooms, very friendly personnel, and a magnificent roof terrace with a great view on the acropolis. Its location is good, close to all the sights, restaurant and shops. Good breakfast buffet too.
Second stay in this centrally located Athens hotel. This time I stayed in one redecorated room, even prettier than the previous one, very chic, well equipped, comfortable, quite and warm. The staff is still friendly, the service still efficient. The breakfast is great.
The rooftop restaurant with the amazing view serves delicious Greek food. Great location to visit Monastiraki, Plaka, Acropolis, also to some great restaurants, taverns, bars.
While I couldnt find a lot of typical DESIGN elements and cool touches that you get to experience at other DESIGN HOTELS properties, the place was quite chic and stylish. And considering the price we paid for it and what came with it, at a good location, this was a great value for money for sure!
LOCATION: Good location in the city center and walkable from most points of interest.
DINE + DRINK: Lovely Rooftop Bar and lounge with neat views of the city and a distant view of the Stunning Acropolis. Great for a sunset drink. The breakfast was not a big spread but came with a simple selection of fine local and international cuisine
ROOM: We stayed in a Upgraded suite room on the 5th floor, so this review is based on that; VIEW: OK view of the street ; SIZE: Very spacious suite and had a huge LIVING area as well as a big Bedroom!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Lovely Spa quality cosmetics from KORRES brand!
FACILITIES: Compact Gym , which was nothing more than a converted room, with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to MICHALIS at the front desk/Guest relations who helped us with great local recommendation.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment . Unfortunately ENGLISH channels were restricted to only a couple of boring News channels! Big downer!
