Convenient location. Very easy to get everywhere we wanted including meeting up with tour groups. Breakfast each morning overlooking The Acropolis and Temple of Zeus. We had dinner there too. Helpful and accommodating staff.

Athens Gate Hotel is perfect for visitors

I choose the Athens Gate Hotel because of the close location to many of the sites one would take in while visiting Athens, Greece. The hotel will schedule transportation from and to the airport if requested. The staff kindly greeted us upon arrival. Our room was clean and well kept during our stay. The hotel offers free breakfast as part of your stay. It is a full breakfast with views of the city, particularly the Temple of Olympian Zeus which is across the street and the Acropolis. All the historical sites we wanted to see were within walking distance for us.

The Perfect Location for First Time Visitors in Athens

The hotel is in the heart of downtown Athens. From the Rooftop Terrace, there is a picture -perfect view of the Acropolis and The Temple of Olympian Zeus. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. Our favorites were Amahlia, who worked the front desk and Dimitri who worked in the rooftop dining area. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
If you can, request a room on the 7th floor at the rear of the building. You’ll have a balcony and an unimpeded few of the Acropolis. It was absolutely breathtaking especially at night when the lights were on. I would definitely stay here again.
