The Lowdown

Yearning for sand between your toes and ocean spray on your skin? Answer the call of the coast at the exquisite Mia Resort Mui Ne. This skillfully styled, 30-room retreat is ranked among the Top 25 Hotels in Vietnam on TripAdvisor, and not just because of its idyllic location or magazine-worthy rooms. Mia Resort’s beachfront restaurant, Sandals, has created a menu that’s made waves across the region’s food scene.
Thanks to the refreshing breeze that comes off the East Sea, Mui Ne is a perfect destination for kitesurfing, and you can take lessons right opposite the resort at The Sailing Club Kite School. Back on dry land, book a class in modern Vietnamese cookery or borrow a bicycle to explore the local area. Be sure to sooth exercised muscles at the sublime Xahn Spa; with a massage in one of the thatched, open-air huts, you’ll be on cloud nine in no time.

A great place to relax
Reviewed 3 days ago

We have spent 7 nights in a Deluxe Garden Bungalow and for us it was the perfect place to relax.
The room had a very good size and a nice veranda, where we could enjoy the evenings. Also equipment of the room was absolutley OK.
The pool area was very well equipped as well, even though I am not sure, if there are enough rests, if the resort is fully booked. But then you can still relocate to the rests on the beach (which might be a little bit windy, though).
In the restaurant we have enjoyed a really good breakfast buffet including some specials from the menu.
Lunch we've had on a daily base and dinner twice (a la carte and BBQ). The food was always excellent and very tasty, and even though in price terms upscale for Vietnamese conditions, it was worth every Dong / Euro.
If you want to have it significantly cheaper, you can always go outside and choose from lots of restaurants around the resort, which are more or less OK.
What really helped us to relax as well was the staff. They were all very friendly and at the same time very relaxed. Most of them knew our names from the first day and created an atmosphere, which let us unwind very quickly. Not too "overly" friendly, not too formal. Very open, very kind and very easygoing in a positive way.

Pricey and worth it

We , 2 adult and 2 children (5&3) booked 4 nights in a superior bungalow. Basically it suits for 3 person , but with the huge bed we all 4 slept comfortably in the same bed. It’s possible to get en extra bed in the room.

It’s probably not primarily a place set up for families , but there is a very child friendly pool and big nice playroom on 1.floor of the restaurant/pool area that parents can monitor from pool side.. so worked excellent. We were not charged extra for children’s breakfast .

The food is asian/western style an very good standard .. but also a little pricey . We typically spent 2-3 mio vnd if staying for lunch, poolside and dinner for all for.

The beach is very good , even though the water is not really clear which is the normal for the East Sea coastline (and not caused locally) . If you Kite , the exellent in-house kiteschool will assist in storing and setting up your gear .

All in all .. pricey and very much worth it.

An absolute gem

We have just returned from a week's stay.
The resort is beautiful. You walk through tropical gardens to find the rooms dotted within. The layout is very well thought out, and when you sit on the veranda, you have great privacy. The garden bungalow was spacious, fastidiously clean, fitted out vey well and very stylish. The staff, food and service are exceptional. We spent many hours in the pool, looking out to sea and just chilling out. The cooking course was fun and we learnt how to make 3 Vietnamese dishes. If you want a relaxing holiday, you couldn't beat Mia Resort.

The Mia Resort Mui Ne is a wonderful Boutique Resort. Fantastic setting on the beach, extremely friendly, helpful and professional staff. I stay in hotels around the world as part of my job and would say the Mia is up there with the best. My family had a really relaxing and enjoyable 7 day vacation, all the rooms were well appointed, the beachfront bungalows were superb.
Sandals Restaurant offered extremely high class, delicious and varied food, the Saturday Night BBQ was fantastic.
We are looking forward to going back to MIa in Muii Ne.
