How to Get There
Helpful, proficent staff. Very friendly and did all they could to make this a great place to stay. Sadly it isnt.
Nice location just a quiet road crossing from the beach.
Decent pool overlooking the sea.
Small restaurant, pricey but not bad Thai and Western dishes.
Grounds are nice, theyve actually aged well unlike the rooms.
We had a duplex villa with pool, and it was to be frank pretty poor. The place is 15 years old and doesnt look like its been refurbed, ever.
Biggest negative was the design of the en-suite bathroom, which looked tired but worst of all allowed free insect access to the bedroom (no window screens and VERY big gaps around the doors ). The bed in the upstaiirs room has a mosquito net, and you'd be wise to use it.
Villa had a garden but it too could do with some love. Also a sea view but its through a cocconut plantation and some power lines.
The vila is actually not a separate building and you will hear your neighbours through a connecting door that has no acoustic damping at all.
Breakfast was OK, service was excellent which made up for the uninspiring choices.
The management were sympathetic to my complaints and in fairness they don't control Marriott Inc's capital budget, but if you are thinking "luxury" then this isnt it. It all felt 3 star at best. Dont get me wrong Ive stayed at much worse places but not when theyve described themselves as 5 star luxury. If the glowing reviews you'll read elsewhere are genuine this can only mean that there is a huge difference in the room types.
If you do stay here you'll need you own transport as there isnt a lot around the hotel. That said its a nice stretch of coast line and plenty of spots to explore if you do have wheels.
if you are planning to spend most of your day time in Hua Hin, this hotel may be a bit far away from it. It takes a 30-min ride to Hua Hin, and Grab is not really available in Pranburi. Taking a taxi can be costly. If you wish to go to Hua Hin, try to stick with the hotel shuttle bus timetable. Frequent departures are available at a cost.
I stay in the most basic type of villa. It comes with 2 floor. Ground floor consists of pantry area, dinning table, small outdoor garden, full bathroom, huge sofa, outdoor private pool with sitting out area. Upper floor consists of another full bathroom, outdoor shower facilities, bed, balcony and outdoor bathtub.
Since each villa is separated, you may find yourself enjoying the nature "privately-outdoor"!
The villa is huge, maintenance is could be difficult, but the cleanliness is good and everything is working well.
Not a great variety but definitely sufficient choices for all walks of life. Live station for egg, pancake and waffle.
Good selection of fresh juice and local tea.
Facilities and Restaurants:
Gym and public swimming pool available. 1 all-day dining restaurant and 1 breakfast restaurant. Since this hotel only has around 50+ villas, the number of guests are limited. So probably seldom bump into other guests. It won't be crowded at all.
Great resort for escaping from the busy world
I stayed here for 2 nights in Pool Villa. The villa is satisfying in every perspective, (huge, clean, cozy, calm). The pool is big enough for me to just stay in my villa, although there is another main pool at sea front area. Breakfast here is very good as well, variety of choice in buffet line. Staffs are friendly and supportive, starting from front office-restaurant attendants- and house keeper.
There are also bicycle for guests to explore the local attraction. The resort located right next to the sea (but not recommended to play), but there is bicycle lane for travelers to enjoy scenic route for Pranburi as well. There is also local street food near by resort as an alternate. Sunset view at the resort is great for dinner time. You can enjoy many Thai menu from the resort.
The resort is perfect for couple or family.
I would definitely come back here again for next holiday.
