Millennium Resort Patong Phuket
How to Get There
This has a dream location. Connected to the mall ita perfect . A minute walk and you are into Bangla Road. And then the beach. Reasonable cost and decent service should make it on the choice. The breakfast is adequately spread. Rooms are ok. Not to big but neat. For a good deal yeah maybe .
Breakfast is excellent
Thank you for giving us surprises in the room with the cake and fruits for our birthday. Lovely!
The Bistro serving International and seafood buffet is a crap! Not fresh and limited choices of seafood. I do NOT recommend at all. Bad experience. Wasted money and time. You can get a better buffet in other restaurant. Utterly dissapointed.
When we travel to Patong we always stay at the Millennium Resort. It is in the heart of Patong and on thr door step of Jungceylon Shopping Store. The hotel has a great pool and the rooms will suit your budget. The staff are friendly and you are only about 10 minute walk to the beach. Look around in the papers you will see specials now and then in the holiday specials. I am going back again in Feb'19, can't wait.
In good location if you want to be in amongst Patong vibrant nightlife and near the beach. A bit noisy. Room are good size and well laid out. Pool area is decent and the food in buffet area is ok. Seems to be a popular hotel for chinese tourist groups.
We stayed in the Millennium for 8 nights in November 2018 and stayed on the Lakeside section on level 4, which is near the pool and gym.
The hotel is relatively modern and well appointed but not really 5 star, more like a 4 star hotel. I had advised the hotel that my partner was having his 60th birthday while we were in Phuket which they advised me they had noted. I was surprised to see on the welcome information, their congratulations on our recent marriage and thanks for spending our honeymoon with them!
The rooms are comfortable but have strange bathroom set ups with the hand basin in the main part of the room which was puzzling to start but we soon got used to. The air-conditioning works a treat and the beds are comfortable. After a late late check in day 2 start with the toilet overflowing. Not a great way to start the day but quickly fixed by the hotel.
I was also disappointed to have a room without a balcony (and a view of a carpark) but this was the fault of the Qantas website which lacked a lot of detail on what each price point actually provided - and not Millenniums.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the location is excellent for access to Jungceylon and the local food options. The large pool makes for a lovely break during the heat of the day.
