How to Get There
We lucked out because of bad weather all day and showed up at the perfect sunset and stayed to eat and drink... bring insect spray if it’s wet.
Our Phi was great and took care of us with 2 for 1 drinks and great chicken satay. Then a nice bottle of Chardonnay and more food. Pretty pool and great views from every spot! Can’t imagine what a pretty day would be like....
I cannot say enough great things about this place! We had originally booked a two bedroom tropical pool villa but were advised with kids under seven it wouldn't be idea, we moved to a two bedroom modern pool villa, it was amazing, although the stairs to the top bedroom are outside and had to lock doors seperately, so the kids remained in our room, no problem there!
The staff were unbelievable, bit shout out to Su, Kat, Pung and Nest, you guys are amazing and made us feel like family!!!
Nothing was too hard for this place, would recommend to anyone and such a great location, close enough but far enough from the busy port of Lamai, shops and restaurants all in walking distance. Breakfast here was great too,I had the best omelette I've ever had!
Till next time, we miss you guys!
We were two friends staying in a 2 bed Penthouse apt. with a very PRIVATE pool, and it was fabulous. You can check it out on their website, also their virtual tour.
I have always preferred Boutique style hotels/resorts, and this place delivers. It has a really cool vibe, is spotless, tranquil, and the beach and pool area is beautiful.
Food is very good, and I can recommend the Australian Tenderloin, and don't miss the Incredible Sunday Brunch, with the great voice and choice of songs from Australian musician, OLIVER JONES, followed by the pool party with the D.J.
Breakfast has a good selection, but it is the staff that makes this place even more special. From the big smile from Puun at the Security gate, to Than, Tien, Lek, Bond, Craig, Gift, Ball, the delightful Annabel who organized the blissful Ayurveda oil massage for me, and Pui(at breakfast), who was wonderful with the very small children, also our wonderful housekeeping girls.
Thank you all for a wonderful 2 week holiday, and my surprise birthday cake.
I was sad to leave. Beverly. xx
Both rooms and villas are superb in this hotel and the general level of services is in accordance with the high prices of the place. We spent a few very nice days there and there is not much to complain about. Cleanliness and quietness are also perfect. Note however that should you really wan to sleep in front of the sea, this is the wrong address as rooms are about 100m from the coast and with no view. The weakest point in our opinion was breakfast, not bad but quite uninspiring and clearly lacking a decent offer of tasty Thai options. Continuous swimming pool music is also a bit boring at the end of the day. Still a highly recommendable place and quite well located on the island.
We come as a family with young children and we wouldn't change a thing. It is cool, it is charming, it is chic, it is down to earth, it is luxurious. It is a genuinely unique blend that you cannot find at other Beach Resorts.
We know Samui and Thailand pretty well by now and we will keep coming back as long as every member of staff makes us feel so valued and welcome. From the guy sweeping leaves to the manager. They make you feel like you own the place. It is very special.
Tim, Craig, Bond, Su and all of you at Beach Republic. Thank you.
