How to Get There
If an "out of this world" personalised luxury experience is on your bucket list for the perfect holiday Ani Villas is the place to stay. With 15 gorgeously appointed suites this was the ultimate experience in customised vacationing.
On arrival we stepped out into absolute paradise and were were warmly welcomed by the staff with cool towels and refreshments.
Our rooms were spacious and well styled with large open windows to enjoy the views of the beach or pool, as well as either a balcony or private plunge pool. The bathroom was equally huge with a spa/bath, indoor and outdoor shower and double vanities. A big plus was little modcons and amenities like wifi, portable speakers, chargers, Apple TV, insect repellent and sunscreens.
The food! There was a lot of it. Probably because you have your own personalised chef there to cater a menu of scrumptious dishes and treats all day. If waking up and strolling down to hot coffee and a plate of fresh fruit wasn’t enough, the huge variety of both western and local breakfast options certainly was. I opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast and wasnt disappointed with a platter of hoppers, dhal, chicken curry and milk rice. My favourite was the Pani Pol, a type of warm crepe filled with sticky coconut filling that was mouth watering.
Over the course of our 3 night vacay we enjoyed candlelight dinners in the courtyard, a very cool setup in the pool and most spectacular sunset beach BBQ with a monster bonfire to set the right tone. We stuffed ourselves silly with succulent grilled chicken, beef and lamb as well as fresh seafood like lobster, cuttlefish and grilled prawns. A big thank you goes to Chef Cyril, who made Sri Lankan cuisine look very easy , but humbly hides an immense about of talent and experience behind his ever smiling face. As with an all-inclusive resort all our beverages including cocktails were included making for an interesting couple of days by the pool and waterslide.
The resort had a huge range of activities and experiences to choose from, sporting a state of the art gym and tennis court, while also offering activities like yoga, shuffleboard, beach hikes, personal training, crossfit, aqua aerobics, meditation and bike rides. After all that activity there was nothing better than getting a full massage at the Spa to end the day in blissful relaxation.
This was easily one of the best holiday experiences of my life and special thanks needs to be given to the amazing staff at Ani who made our stay unforgettable. It’s experiences like this that will stay with us for a lifetime.
Our family of 12 (mix with kids) stayed at Ani in Sri Lanka for a week. The experience was top of the top. Luxuriously built villa to delicious food prepared by chef Cyril and very attentive service from all staff. The best family holiday we ever had.
Ps. They are great with kids.
For three days we stayed at Ani Villas Sri Lanka and it was, without a doubt, the best resort experience we have EVER had. This was PRIVATE luxury on another level.
Think gourmet menus, mixologist curated bars, unlimited spa treatments and activities, personal butlers, beautiful suites and breathtaking views all feet away from their very own private white sand beach.
The activities were endless and during our time here we went on beach walks, went cycling which was great to see the surrounding town area, visited their art school, had 3 spa treatments, lounged by the pool, played giant sized shuffleboard with sunset cocktails and had the most magical outdoor dining experience on the beach at night, sitting beside a massive bonfire whilst Chef Cyril bbq'ed up a seafood feast.
This was our first time to Sri Lanka, and there is no way you could beat an experience like this. Thinking about it now, the level of service was out of this world. Everything carefully thought out. Breakfast ready for you when you exit your room, your room and laundry clean and done whilst you're out, your day activities planned in advance so staff are always waiting for you when you arrive to your destination. The food was plentiful, and of a high standard - and there was someone always close by to make you a cocktail or direct you to your next adventure.
The staff even set up a movie night for us in the pool, with cocktails and popcorn - which was a great way to end our last night. Special shout out to Ayumi, Dinesh, Chef Cyril and the rest of the team at Ani Villas Sri Lanka for making our stay truly unforgettable!
Ani Villas is MAGICAL and we can not recommend staying here enough. So if you have the opportunity to stay here, do so - without hesitation and for as long as possible.
