East meets west on Orchard Street, where the modern Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has 255 rooms and suites blending British colonial decor with Asian influences. Inside, there are two restaurants, including the signature Jiang-Nan Chun, which serves authentic Cantonese fare like wok fried king prawns with szechwan chili sauce; 24-hour room service is also available. Accommodations have sweeping city views, as well as a rich color palette of burnt orange, auburn, ivory and mocha that complement the 1,500 original works of art throughout. The award-winning spa offers respite with a range of East Asian and Balinese rituals, while the hotel’s two swimming pools and four tennis courts provide plenty of daytime action. An adults-only floor, complete with daily chocolate service and mood lighting, gives couples privacy in an otherwise family-friendly hotel.
In the Area
Singapore draws its rich cultural heritage from a melting pot of ethnicities, including Chinese, Indian and Malay, while British colonial influences are apparent in everything from the architecture to attractions. The bars and shops that crowd Chinatown are a vibrant example of this, and are worth a full- or half-day excursion. Beyond the financial district where top-notch shopping and dining abound, the area offers tons of family-friendly diversions. The Singapore Zoo is home to over 1,600 animals that roam freely around various landscaped enclosures. Nearby Night Safari gives kids a rare glimpse of the animal kingdom after dark from aboard a guided tram, while River Safari explores local marine life from a guided riverboat. Your concierge can arrange a Park Hopper pass so you can easily enjoy all three, or for couples, a catered picnic lunch à deux at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
How to Get There
Our family had a magnificent stay over Christmas at the Four Seasons Singapore. From check in staff, to room service servers, every encounter with the staff was excellent.
We enjoyed the recently renovated room. Modern and luxurious without losing the character we loved from the previous styling. Comfortable beds, and still spacious with the extra bed for our daughter.
We loved the proximity to Orchard Rd, yet love the quiet of being just around the the corner - the best of both worlds.
Concierge were very helpful in the lead up to our stay, making appointments and travel arrangements for us. This was very easy using the Four Seasons app.
We loved the Christmas decorations around the hotel, and were especially touched by the thoughtful gingerbread house gifted to us on Christmas Eve....we took it with us the next day to share with family on Christmas morning, and it was very much admired and appreciated.
I travel to a Singapore often, and despite having tried many different hotels, the Four Seasons is still my favourite. Will definitely return.
Luxurious accomodation and ideally located for shops and sightseeing-the Hop on Bus stop is just opposite the hotel. Smiling, welcoming and professional staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy every moment of your stay..The swimming pool area was a relaxing retreat, and the restaurant served a wonderful Cantonese meal. The Four Seasons made our first visit visit to Singapore a truly memorable one, we will be back! .
way and a truly helpful concierge service
The hotel was up to 4 seasons standards except for it’s starred Michelin restaurant. The staff were extremely pleasant and the food extremely uninteresting. It was a major disappointment - the worst Michelin experience we have ever had out of probably 40 Michelin starred restaurants that we have visited.
Our family of 4 had a superb week-long stay in an Executive Suite. Everyone in the hotel made us feel at home. Our 5 year old twins were warmly welcomed and we appreciated all the special touches for them (kids' bathrobes, toiletries etc). The Suite was spacious, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were perfect.
The hospitality here shows a special willingness to go above and beyond. When one night our daughter's favourite dish was not available and my wife expressed disappointment to the in-room dining, they went above and beyond to source the ingredients from outside the hotel and make it specially for her. They even surprised her with a gift and a cake to make up for the temporary disappointment. This was a great approach to resolve what was in reality not much of a problem at all, and would guarantee that we would pick the Four Seasons next time we travel to Singapore.
The location is great - right next to Orchard but not on Orchard, and a 2 minute walk from the underground passage connecting several huge malls (Ion Orchard, Takashimaya etc). Breakfast in the newly updated 190 restaurant was delicious though the servers were struggling a bit with the new layout and keeping track of everyone's orders. Don't miss the Avocado Toast which is made to order.
Guest Relations Manager Christopher Tsoi went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, and perfectly coordinated a surprise for my wife when we entered the room to celebrate our anniversary.
Every little detail was perfect, and I would give the Four Seasons Singapore my highest recommendation.
We stopped over in Singapore for 24 hours and chose to stay at the Four Seasons with our family of four due to the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We couldn’t have been more pleased.
When checking in we were upgraded from a one-bedroom suite to a Royal Suite. It was absolutely divine! There were many thoughtful touches with baby toiletries, child bathrobes, fruit and goodies at turn-down. We spent most of our time on the rooftop pool which was small but nice and had lots of kids toys.
Of particular note was the excellent staff we encountered at every step - Porter’s, check-in, concierge, room service... and the housekeeping was immaculate.
We made the mistake of staying at the Shangri-La on Sentosa on our return trip and it is no where near the standard of the Four Seasons. We know where we will book next time!
