East meets west on Orchard Street, where the modern Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has 255 rooms and suites blending British colonial decor with Asian influences. Inside, there are two restaurants, including the signature Jiang-Nan Chun, which serves authentic Cantonese fare like wok fried king prawns with szechwan chili sauce; 24-hour room service is also available. Accommodations have sweeping city views, as well as a rich color palette of burnt orange, auburn, ivory and mocha that complement the 1,500 original works of art throughout. The award-winning spa offers respite with a range of East Asian and Balinese rituals, while the hotel’s two swimming pools and four tennis courts provide plenty of daytime action. An adults-only floor, complete with daily chocolate service and mood lighting, gives couples privacy in an otherwise family-friendly hotel.
In the Area
Singapore draws its rich cultural heritage from a melting pot of ethnicities, including Chinese, Indian and Malay, while British colonial influences are apparent in everything from the architecture to attractions. The bars and shops that crowd Chinatown are a vibrant example of this, and are worth a full- or half-day excursion. Beyond the financial district where top-notch shopping and dining abound, the area offers tons of family-friendly diversions. The Singapore Zoo is home to over 1,600 animals that roam freely around various landscaped enclosures. Nearby Night Safari gives kids a rare glimpse of the animal kingdom after dark from aboard a guided tram, while River Safari explores local marine life from a guided riverboat. Your concierge can arrange a Park Hopper pass so you can easily enjoy all three, or for couples, a catered picnic lunch à deux at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
How to Get There

My stays in various Singapore hotels are too many to count but it was after 7 years I decided to return to one of my past favourites The Four Seasons Hotel. To say it felt like a home coming is a bit glib but the place continues to feel warm and friendly. The rooms have a new decor with cool and comfortable mute colours and bathroom upgrades. The dinning area has also changed but still has the exceptional breakfast buffet that I remember. The thing that sets this hotel apart from many others is that it is never bustling and there are always staff able to attend to you be it concierge, waiters or desk clerks. The driveway is not blocked by cars as you arrive and walking into the lobby is the most amazing flower display you will see. You can tell that the staff training is of the highest standard, no need for apologies here as the service was smooth and everything worked. The location has always been one of the best in Singapore because of the proximity to shops and restaurants. Being set away from the main pedestrian streets gives it an aura of peace in a city that is challenged for personal space. With 255 rooms and an excellent spa this is the perfect place to relax.
Four seasons is usually synonymous with a seamless and effortless stay for business or pleasure anywhere in the world. On both times that I checked into this property in Singapore this week, two hiccups occurred which do not occur at other properties of this caliber. First time my room had an odor which was quickly remedied by a change of room. Today, I checked in and decided to upgrade to a suite in which I was charged more. Be forewarned there are no courtesy upgrades for returning guests unlike the peninsula. Loyalty is not recognized at four seasons Singapore. I waited an hour for my luggage (which I had stored from my previous stay 24 hours ago) to arrive. In fact, I had to contact the front desk to inquire why I was waiting so long otherwise it would easily have taken longer. This then delayed my dinner plans. While these are bumps that usually occur at a 3-Star hotel, I felt compelled to inform potential guests that if you’re looking for a seamless check in that sets a positive tone for your stay, you might be inclined to look elsewhere. Property itself has a wonderful Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant with a delightful vegetarian menu as well. Property is walking distance to ION mall and centrally located off Orchard Road, so very convenient.
Excellent hotel, recommend highly. Spent three nights and was graciously welcomed the entire stay. Very lovely and helpful staff! Beautiful, spacious room overlooking park and city view. Room service excellent, as was dining in breakfast and lunch restaurant, and the bar. Convenient location close to best of Singapore shopping. Four Seasons car service to and from hotel first class. Love this hotel and will stay here again next year.
The Four Seasons Singapore is a delight. Tucked away close to Orchard Road. Has a very personal feel as its small and compact. Rooms are immaculate and a good size. Very nice bar and the main restaurant is pretty good also. For a genuine 5 star its also reasonably priced for what they offer.
