The staff make you feel you are one huge family with exceptional 5 star service . The food is amazing especially the breakfast which includes 36 cheeses . There are 4 restaurants plus a Japanese included in one . The reef in very close to the beach with beautiful white sand beaches . The spa was fantastic with knowledgeable staff
We feel in love with this island and the great hospitality and recommend everyone to go
From our arrival at the airport to our departure the whole Milaidhoo experience was amazing.
The staff are referred to as family and we really felt part of a huge family with all members appearing to genuinely care about our happiness and went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. Importantly, the staff themselves seemed genuinely happy. Our butler was wonderful and managed to arrange several surprises (thank you, Jameel).
The island is stunning, even better than the online photographs would suggest. Although small, the sympathetic development and thoughtful layout of the villas and amenities make Milaidhoo seem much larger than it actually is. We seldom saw another person walking on the beach nor indeed on the inland pathways and felt that we almost had the island to ourselves. The sand covered pathways are bordered by beautiful and lovingly maintained plants and trees and make a lovely walk by day and evening. Snorkelling from the beach was easy and we saw coral and many tropical fish with little effort. In short, the whole island is a tranquil paradise.
The villas are inspired by Maldivian architecture and are beautiful, bright and spacious. The generous private pools are aesthetically pleasing and the Maldivian style swing seat is a delightful place on which to lounge and admire the views. Artful planting of vegetation means that the beach villas enjoy wonderful beach and sea views but a good degree of privacy too.
The food is fabulous in all of the restaurants and there is a great deal of choice at each location. Service is attentive but not overbearing. The breakfast buffet was the best and most extensive we have ever witnessed. The chef's table teppanyaki was pure theatre and the food was delicious. Local cuisine seldom features on the menus of luxury resorts so the Maldivian inspired food served on the stunning Ba’theli restaurant 'boat' was a real treat. The gourmet dining plan is a good option, especially if you drink alcohol.
Although I didn't sample the spa the treatments are extensive and my husband had what he deemed to be the best massage ever.
A trip to a local island followed by dolphin watching, of which we saw many, was a memorable experience.
There are many activities on offer, though fortunately no motorised water sports, which means that there is something for everyone and no chance of boredom.
My husband can suffer from 'cabin fever' but was not bored once and can't wait to return, something of a miracle. Hopefully we shall be back soon!
We had the best family trip at Milaidhoo Island in Oct. Our entire experience with this lovely resort is simply superb. You can feel that this resort is very well managed in every single aspect.
The moment I stepped into our water pool villa, I fell in love with it. Everything looks fabulous just like the photos I have seen before my trip. What I like the most is the private infinity pool which is beautifully designed with decent size to accommodate 3 of us at the same time. The bathroom is spacious with a gorgeous view. One of my favourite things to do was to relax in the swinging daybed watching the picturesque scenery at different time of the day.
The staff or what they call themselves the “family” are all very amiable and attentive to the guests. We felt so much at home soon after our arrival. As soon as they knew my 13-year-old son is a football lover, he got invited to join the football game with the staff on our first day there. Our butler, Jameel, picked up my boy before the game and took good care of him the whole time. It felt as if we were already part of the “family”.
Although it’s a small island, it’s not difficult to fill our day with various activities. The sea turtle expedition was great fun and luckily we got to see one. My husband and I also enjoyed the yoga class and spa a great deal. We were amazed to see stingray and so many beautiful reef fish (surprisingly some are rather large) when snorkeling near our villa. If you are lucky enough, you may see small sharks and dolphins we well.
Food is absolutely outstanding at Milaidhoo. We were impressed with the great variety of food at breakfast. All dishes we had were not only delicious but also very well presented. We wanted to try the Shoreline Grill Chef’s Table but too bad we failed to make the booking. Be sure to make the reservation earlier if you plan to go there. Instead we had seafood at the Grill which was just as fantastic. if you are a light eater like me, you may find the portion quite large. My hubby and I could barely finish our seafood platter after having the soup.
All in all, Milaidhoo is a perfect place for a getaway trip. All the staff we met at Milaidhoo had made our trip an unforgettable one. We feel strongly they are working closely as a team to provide such exceptional services. It's definitely the best hotel we have been to so far.
My wife and I visited Milaidhoo in November 2018 for our honeymoon, and everything was absolutely perfect! We really enjoyed the gourmet meal plan, and we were able to order and eat basically anything we wanted without having to think of the cost of individual items. The resort and villas feel so new, since Milaidhoo is only two years old. There are no children guests allowed on the island, which makes for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The gym is great, and the food is unreal. There are great activities offered, and we did scuba diving (just an introduction without getting certified) and snorkeling. Our island host, Davud, was so helpful and nice. They were able to arrange for a professional photographer to take pictures of us on the island. We highly recommend Milaidhoo and will tell all of our friends to stay here!
One of the most awesome service ever. Everyone is friendly. A guest relation manager Hussein was super client-oriented. He was catching every word and doing his best.
All 3 restaurants are very nice. Food is various and delicious. Restaurant staff knows your names and a number of your villa in advance.
Very nice interiors and all items are in a very good condition.
Cleaning service works perfect. They made a room even same day when we were going to leave the island.
A very green island - all plants have been taken care of ideally.
