How to Get There
We went there a couple of years ago (Nov 2015) and absolutely loved it! Upon arrival we were upgraded to a sunset vila for free and we were give a bottle of champagne and a fruit bowl as we had said it was our honeymoon. We only stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was more than enough. There were a couple of places on the resort for us to have lunch and dinner and we would often skip one of them as the portions were pretty generous. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room/vila was amazing and spacious. We had the best time!
This resort and island are just incredible💕
I loved every aspect of it, the prestige beach villa is fabulous and very spacious, loved the outdoor bathroom and outside space. The pools are just amazing so are the staff.
So happy and helpful, a big thanks to Silvia who helped us towards our needs beyond expectations and made our 10th year anniversary very special indeed with all the thoughtful touches 🙏🏻. The island is so beautiful and the sea water is so clear with big white sandy beaches all around. Loved that they feed the sharks and mantas every night and you can go and watch. A plus is also that Hanifaru island is right in front just five minutes away which is a UNESCO Heritage site and where you can dive or snorkel and if you’re in season you can see mantas and whale sharks. The bars are open at night till 12 and there is always something going on like, beach parties, bonfire nights, local Maldivian nights, cinema night etc.. so you won’t get bored and there are many excursions to do also. A 10out of 10 for us, we will certainly be back!!
We were in this island first time for 11 nights. We stay in beach villa which was great with large open bathroom. Room servise was also good. First day food wasn't good, there where no fruit, no sea food but then we talk with manager Mr.Peter and then was every day better, at the end food was realy good, thanks to Mr. Peter. You must try the coco ice cream.Bar stuff is amazing at the end we were friends:), you must try Aida coffe, she make the best coffe ever, Dushan is a great barman. Every evening have a difrent entertaiment, if you need a party you can get it. We love pool party, DJ Mr.Baan can give what ever music you want. The house reef is amazing you can see a lot of diffrent fish, but you need your oven fins and mask. We are sorry that we didn't see mantas. The beach is also very nice, there is a lot of musqitos and gekos- also in the room- they are not disturbing. The diving center is good, stuff is ok, Mr. Olek help us with problems with fin socks. We were surprise that you can thalk with managers of the island who are very nice, open and friendly. Thank you Mr. Ziyaah for perfect fish plate for the last dinner and Mr. Sheriff for the fishing talks:). We really recomend this island, we will come again. Thank you again Kihaa stuff for great holidays and hope to see you soon. Bye bye from Slovenia friends (Miha and Mojca, Peter and Martina)
If you are looking for a place to rest, relax, enjoy the nature, watch beautiful sunsets, this is the place for you. Its a lovely peaceful island. The room its very spacious and comfy, the bathroom its just gorgeous, loved the open concept. The beach is in front of the room, and its very calm and blue. Definately love it!
My wife and I booked this holiday with "Angelfish Travel" having already visited Kihaad (The island used to be called this) we booked this knowing that the management had changed hands since the last time and at the time of booking there was little or no reviews. Angelfish were great and they really helped look at every option and was reassuring to know they have contacts in the right places. In the end we took a chance and opted to give the new management the chance.
We arrived on an early flight after a stop in Dubai and the hotel meet and greet managed to get us on an earlier than planned domestic flight. There was a swift boat transfer after and before lunch we were at Kihaa.
We stayed in a Reserve Beach Villa which was just set back from the beach, but no more than a 5 second walk ... Villa consists of an open plan bedroom/lounge area, and a large bathroom with outdoor and indoor shower.
Dining at Kihaa is a pleasure and the ladies and gents who wait the tables put in a lot of effort and after a couple of days the drinks were on the table before we had even asked. as for variety there is something for everyone and you never went hungry. Menu was varied with a fresh fish and meat grill available on every lunch and evening meal but also on a 7 day turn around there was a Chinese, Russian and Maldivian themed evening.
There are two bars one of which was not initially in the AI but by the second week the management had opened up both bars to serve drinks from the AI list, which was varied and served by a lovely group of bar staff who really got to know you, service was excellent .
One of the main reasons for going back to the Maldives was to do our AOW course. The team at Ocean Dimensions were brilliant, really helpful and friendly and i am sure they helped us become divers. In the end having set out to do our advanced we went on to dive nearly every day. Single cylinder and and two cylinder boat dives are available. we never visited the same site twice and the dive guides were extremely knowledgeable and would do there best to take you to sites where there were things that you wanted to see. We were lucky to see devil and eagle rays, a number of frog fish, turtles and a. This is obviously on top of some really interesting sites, Crew on the boat were really helpful in getting you kitted up, but having always dived on our own they got used to letting us get on with it without interfering too much.
All in all we really enjoyed our holiday and it wont be long before i am back onto Angelfish to see what they can do next year.
