How to Get There
What a fantastic and faultless holiday. I travelled with my husband, mother and 17-month year old and from start to finish the staff could not have been more efficient, attentive and kind. Whether it be loaning us beach/swimming toys, preparing for special dietary requirements or recommending excursions. I did a snorkel trip and saw turtles, rays and reef sharks (harmless) which was fab.
This is a total hidden paradise.
The island has beautiful clean beaches with some shallow snorkelling options and they will loan you all necessary equipment. The main pool is lovely and there is the option of having your own private pool too. The island is not too large so you can walk around it easily in about 30 mins, but bikes are also provided (with kids seats if required), this was quiet a fun option. For those less able then a buggy service is also provided.
The rooms are spacious and are kept spotless.
The main restaurant is a buffet and the food is very varied and freshly made so there is no fear of not finding anything you like. There is also an Italian and Asian/Japanese restaurant on the island. If you like sushi, we had some of the best we have ever had here!
If you are thinking of travelling with children then the island has a fantastic kids club, we did some great activities like cookie making and cupcake decorating when there was a brief shower, I understand for the older children they organise other events like fishing etc. However, do not fear if you are wanting to steer clear of children on your break, that is very easy to do too.
We left the island feeling totally relaxed and would love to return.
We travel pretty often as a family and been to Maldives already 3 times before this holiday. From now on, we will only book Kanuhura. This resort is just incredible, food, service, rooms, all perfect AND the islands yes there are 2 of them are out of this world. Biking throughout the island is an extra bonus for families like us, we love being active. Gym was good as well. You can run around the island and its 1 km each side roughly so one round is 2km, early mornings is perfect for a walk or jog. We found staff attentive and very kind. Child friendly and kids club/teachers were lovely. Our 7 year old son loved the island trip on a small boat in pirate outfit. Our room was a sunset beach villa with its own pool. I think if you like quiet mornings choose a sunset villa not sunrise part, it may be just the time we visited but other side seemed busier. we had the quietest, most pristine beach infront of us. Swimming next to baby sharks (totally harmless, they are scared of humans) was so much fun. We booked our holiday through Maldives Holidays Direct a London based agency and they recommended this hotel, we are grateful, especially to Samir who was the best agent I used so far. Regards Holmgren family
Just back from an amazing holiday with family - the island is spotless the food is amazing but best of all the staff are the most kind and attentive. Can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to visit this enchanting island.
Fantastic family resort with so many activities to entertain the kids! My son loves the open water fishing, swimming with the nurse sharks about 5 mins boat ride from the resort, snorkelling with giant turtles and watching the baby sharks swim in the bay. Service is outstanding and the food is amazing (they have an Italian chef who manages all the details). Every night there is a themed bbq my favourite being the Maldivian night with a huge fresh fish selection. I would def come back! My friends daughter had a small accident in the pool which required immediate stitches in her head. The doctor was there within 2 minutes and he was wonderful and professional! There are really no complaints I could make about this place, its very well managed. Water villas are amazing take one if you can.
This resort is fantastic. Had some amazing days here. Would love to come back again soon.
The rooms are beautiful, the food is so tasty and the service is high. They do everything so make sure you have an amazing stay.
