Overview

Tropical retreat wreathed by talcum-fine beaches with luxe overwater villas, an on-site dive center and an organic spa

The Look

Constance Halaveli epitomizes the tropical island vacation. A private expanse of beach studded with oversize bean bags? Check. An on-site PADI dive center and easy access to shipwrecks, caves and coral reefs teeming with whale sharks and manta rays? Double check. There’s a heavy focus on the alfresco, with outdoor dining and villas that have wooden balconies with steps that descend straight into the ocean. It’s a magnet for the honeymoon crowd, to be sure, but this upscale resort also caters to travelers with tots in tow.

Bed and Bath

The resort’s 86 villas, whose design is inspired by traditional dhoni fishing boats, combine chic tropical decor and cutting-edge technology: iPods, mini iMacs, free WiFi and plasma televisions. Choose from Water Villas, from which you can peer into the crystal-clear water over your morning cuppa; standard Beach Villas, which have private plunge pools; and, for larger groups who need more elbow room, Family Beach Villas or Double Story Beach Villas.

Beyond

The resort has an overwater spa, where the treatments make use of handcrafted Ila, Valmont and signature Spa de Constance products; and a fitness center and tennis courts where type A vacationers can squeeze in their daily workout. There’s a pool, of course, and three restaurants to choose from. Jahaz offers a full buffet spread, while the beachside grill, Meeru, makes it possible to have your sundowner with your toes in the sand. The last, the specialty Asian-inspired restaurant Jing, sits on stilts above the lagoon and has one of the most comprehensive wine cellars in the Indian Ocean.

Perfect week!
Reviewed 4 days ago

Spent 4 nights at constance halaveli and it was the greatest trip we have ever been on. The staff, food, service, snorkeling outside the villa- everything was spectacular.
It was our first time to Maldives and wanted to try both the beach villas and the over the water villa so we booked 2 nights each. We loved the over water villas better.

The spa was great, you get to see the sea life through the glass floor while being treated.
The breakfast had a huge selection for which you wouldn't ever get bored.

Hoping to go back again later this year!

Just keeps getting better...

Our 3rd trip to the Maldives and 2nd to Constance Halaveli made us realise how very special this island and it's staff are. We combined the visit with Constance Moofushi as well as Conrad Rangali and although each have their special qualities, Halaveli was so outstanding this time (and such a perfect fit for us) that we are convinced there is no need to visit any anywhere else on our future trips to the Maldives.

The island itself and the water villas remain remarkable...with a good few new chic decor additions and the food was better than ever (without a doubt the best across all islands visited) in all its restaurants. Snorkelling, especially in front of the Presidential villa, was very good-it was encouraging to see so much healthy coral starting to grow...and we generally saw a lot more (and bigger) fish life at Halaveli than anywhere else.

Service was faultless and we enjoyed chatting with Yapa at the Jahaz bar who always knew what our orders would be in advance as well as Ibrahim, our Butler, during our destination dining experience. Lastly, Laila, the Guest Relations Manager and Elena at Reception left a lasting impression through their warm and attentive service - we appreciated all the (daily) value-added touches.

Keep doing such a great job, Halaveli, see you all again soon.

Amazing stay with professional staff and service !

Our stay was in begining of february 2018, in high season, our watervilla was number 85 (the last one in the lagoon) so peacefull and with sunset view (they gave us what we mentioned while making reservation)!!
We were amazed by the room itself and its amneties, our private swimmingpool service at restaurant, all the staffs and their excellent service.. We wished we stay more in this beautiful island !! last day i had to get an urgent help and in 5mn everything was solved !! best service i got !
We got even an email after we sent our servey (a proof that they are treating our suggestions one by one and caring about what we are suggesting)
After this incredible experience we decided to stay in other Constance hotels for next trips ;)

Perfect in every way

The Constance Halaveli was the perfect place for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The resort setting was idyllic, the decor stylish and tasteful, the water villas were roomy and gorgeous, the service was exceptional and the cuisine superb. We felt like VIP guests from the moment we stepped onto the pier and were welcomed by name. Our son was feeling unwell the first day and he received a personalized get well card from their Kids Clubs. Management sent various treats to our room with anniversary messages. Every meal we had was delicious - be it breakfast buffet at Jehaz, dinner on the verandah of Jing or lunch at the sushi bar - even the room service was fantastic. The buffet focused on quality over quantity and didn't have the commercial feel of most hotel buffets. Our water villa was gorgeous, we had our own plunge pool and every few minutes we would see amazing marine life passing by - sharks, puffer fish, trigger fish, rays, etc. The beds were also very cozy, in fact, we all slept in much later than usual which is amazing when you have an energetic 9 year old in the house! The Constance Halaveli experience really is the Maldives holiday you dream about!
