Constance Halaveli epitomizes the tropical island vacation. A private expanse of beach studded with oversize bean bags? Check. An on-site PADI dive center and easy access to shipwrecks, caves and coral reefs teeming with whale sharks and manta rays? Double check. There’s a heavy focus on the alfresco, with outdoor dining and villas that have wooden balconies with steps that descend straight into the ocean. It’s a magnet for the honeymoon crowd, to be sure, but this upscale resort also caters to travelers with tots in tow.
Bed and Bath
The resort’s 86 villas, whose design is inspired by traditional dhoni fishing boats, combine chic tropical decor and cutting-edge technology: iPods, mini iMacs, free WiFi and plasma televisions. Choose from Water Villas, from which you can peer into the crystal-clear water over your morning cuppa; standard Beach Villas, which have private plunge pools; and, for larger groups who need more elbow room, Family Beach Villas or Double Story Beach Villas.
The resort has an overwater spa, where the treatments make use of handcrafted Ila, Valmont and signature Spa de Constance products; and a fitness center and tennis courts where type A vacationers can squeeze in their daily workout. There’s a pool, of course, and three restaurants to choose from. Jahaz offers a full buffet spread, while the beachside grill, Meeru, makes it possible to have your sundowner with your toes in the sand. The last, the specialty Asian-inspired restaurant Jing, sits on stilts above the lagoon and has one of the most comprehensive wine cellars in the Indian Ocean.
How to Get There
I arrived at the island emotional and alone
Not the original romantic plan
I can’t tell you how wonderfully sensitive attentive and caring the staff were
The island is truly beautiful the accommodation perfect the food beautiful but most of all the warm caring staff ensured I left the island a lot happier than when I arrived
Thankyou so much to everyone but especially laila and Bianca
This had to be the best trip I ever had by far. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and enjoyed every moment. From the second we got to the island, we got a warm welcoming from Martina. The food was delicious and different each night. The manager Mohamed and Nadia were checking up on us every night. Overall the service was amazing, we stayed for 4 night and we wanted to stay longer. The spa is totally worth it and needs a half a day at least!
My trip to Maldives I chose to stay in Halaveli. It was a lovely experience in the island. Room was clean and appealing. Food was another delight. It was a lovely vacation in the Maldives and was a vacation we never wanted to end. On the way back the tour trip to Male was another memory to keep and to take back home. It is a good experience rather than waiting idle for your flight. Male is a small city very dense but a good experience to see another aspect of life. Enjoyable short tour to the capital city of the beautiful country. Thank you everyone who made our trip.
This is by far and away my favorite vacation. I always wanted to stay in an over-the-water bungalow and Constance Halaveli far exceeded our expectations. The bungalows are arranged along a pier like structure that also had a restaurant and spa. Each bungalow is arranged in a way the gives you absolute privacy to the point that you feel like there is only your unit. Each bungalow has its own dip pool on its private patio. One can take you stairs to the water from your patio and go snorkeling. While getting your massage at the spa as you look through that hole on the face rest you look through a glass floor at the fish swimming below. We took a snorkeling outing where the tropical fish are so plentiful that the fish bump into you making you feel as thought you were one of them. Our 40 anniversary dinner on the beach was magnificent. Dining with your feet in the sand makes every meal special.
I LOVE this place!
We have stayed in this amazing resort for 4 nights in the water villa and we literally don’t wanna leave. Food is amazing with lovely wine suggestion by the sommelier, Rimah. All the staffs were so helpful and they will make sure you have an amazing trip!! We will definitely come back and to build more great memories!! Last day here with seeing the dolphins outside our villa is just a fantastic moment to end our holidays in Maldives.
