Overview

Tropical retreat wreathed by talcum-fine beaches with luxe overwater villas, an on-site dive center and an organic spa

The Look

Constance Halaveli epitomizes the tropical island vacation. A private expanse of beach studded with oversize bean bags? Check. An on-site PADI dive center and easy access to shipwrecks, caves and coral reefs teeming with whale sharks and manta rays? Double check. There’s a heavy focus on the alfresco, with outdoor dining and villas that have wooden balconies with steps that descend straight into the ocean. It’s a magnet for the honeymoon crowd, to be sure, but this upscale resort also caters to travelers with tots in tow.

Bed and Bath

The resort’s 86 villas, whose design is inspired by traditional dhoni fishing boats, combine chic tropical decor and cutting-edge technology: iPods, mini iMacs, free WiFi and plasma televisions. Choose from Water Villas, from which you can peer into the crystal-clear water over your morning cuppa; standard Beach Villas, which have private plunge pools; and, for larger groups who need more elbow room, Family Beach Villas or Double Story Beach Villas.

Beyond

The resort has an overwater spa, where the treatments make use of handcrafted Ila, Valmont and signature Spa de Constance products; and a fitness center and tennis courts where type A vacationers can squeeze in their daily workout. There’s a pool, of course, and three restaurants to choose from. Jahaz offers a full buffet spread, while the beachside grill, Meeru, makes it possible to have your sundowner with your toes in the sand. The last, the specialty Asian-inspired restaurant Jing, sits on stilts above the lagoon and has one of the most comprehensive wine cellars in the Indian Ocean.

Our recent stay in overwater villa was a dream. All the island is even more wonderfull than a postcard. You can see sharks, mantas, stingrays just in a blue lagoon by the beach and the coral reef shows you much more! Food is amazing, huge choice for breakfasts and delitious bufet or luxorious restaurants. All staff was very warm, pleasant and friendly during our stay. Only in a gym i missed the warm welcome or even good morning from european guy. Once you are there, you have to try out wine from the biggest wine cellar in Maledives! Its amazing and very much going with excellent dining experience!

Great Hospitality and Amazing location.

Constance Halaveli is a dream come true destination. It is what anyone would love to have when in Maldives. Great beach, nice water villas, sea green waters, lots of different fishes, very nice choices of Wines, Cocktails, Mock-tails, Whiskeys and what not in the bar. Large selection of fruits, Salads, breads, juices, dishes, cakes, ice creams etc in the Jahaz Restaurent.
My wife & I took a water Vila and had a very amazing experience of it. We are vegetarians, so we had bit of difficulty in getting our choices but the chef and everyone, helped us have what we could have including delicious Thai food, pizzas, pastas etc.
Our excursion for Dolphins watching was fun though we we unlucky not to see any Dolphins here. Our snorkel private lessons went great. We saw lots of huge corals and so many different coloured beautiful fishes.
All the staff is very courteous and welcoming and made our journey a memorable one.
Their lounge at the Male airport is also very good. Our sea plane transfer and journey was properly taken care of.
Lots of thanks to all who gave their time in making our stay superb.

One of the best resort and service we have experienced. As a destination Maldives is beautiful but the excellent service in Constance Halaveli made a great difference. You feel home, welcomed and while leaving the resort you start planning when to come again. That feeling is extraordinary! Thanks to all staff made our holiday unforgettable.

An amazing experience

We have been visiting the Moofushi resort 4 times and this time we decided to do the combination with the Halaveli for the first time, and what an experience it was.
The boat ride from Moofushi was short, efficient and fun, took only 25 min. Arriving at the Halaveli in somewhat unstabile weather was great, the whole management crew welcomed us and from that moment on we were chaperoned by a very positive minded team. The resort is absolutely 5 star, we stayed in water villa 47 not too far away from the Island but still secluded with an open water view. The villa was topknotch with space and all amenities. The Jahaz buffet restaurant could do with a bit more coziness but the variation of food and the enthousiast cooks are worthwhile. However what was 6 star in surroundings, food and team was the Jing bar and restaurant: the location on the water is magnificent, the bar man fantastic but the restaurant and food are 3 star Michelin. I must congratulate also the dive team, we had some great dives with a group of top professionals. This hotel has it all and we will surely return next year.

big expectations, even bigger experience

It's no secret that a stay at Maldives is expensive. You have to travel to the Male, take a 500USD seaplane (both ways), and a stay at the resort (any resort in the maldives) would set you back several hundred USD/night, close to 1000 USD. As such, our expectations for luxury, beauty, service, quality and food etc were higher than ever before - and I'm delighted to share that our experience far exceeded our high expectations.

More than anything, hospitality blew us away. Coming from Singapore, i think we experience pretty decent standards of service when we travel in the Southeast Asia region (Bali, phuket etc), the value for money is very good too, with a great range of options in the 70-150 USD price bracket. However, the service in Constance, Maldives surpasses our SE Asia experience because it is 1) seamless and well thought out 2) super personalized.

Going through the Arrival, Welcome, Tour/orientation, check-in and check-out processes, it's obvious that they are veterans, having repeated, reviewed and refined their process to the high standard it is. All our needs were met, the processes made sense, gave us the information we needed, and made us feel welcome.

We were also impressed by how friendly the staff were and how personalized the service was. Right from the onset, we were recognized by face, greeted by name and fully engaged by their welcome team. Various other staff also took obvious effort to engage us and welcome us to the resort such as restaurant managers, division managers for the rooms as well as food - and what's stunning was that they already were aware of who we were, which day we arrived, and some even knew our villa at their finger tips. This to us was incredible attention to detail, care for guests and effort to be hospitable.

Other than the stellar service across departments, the rooms were also breath-taking as expected, the resort was super beautiful and the food: irresistible.

Overall, an unbelievable experience which leveled-up our idea of luxury, beauty and service. Paid quite a bit, but certainly worth every penny. If you are looking for a resort for your holiday in Maldives, definitely consider Constance Halaveli. Cheers
