Best island ever!
Reviewed 3 days ago

It’s our first time to Maldives. Best experience ever. The view of this island is magnificent. Don’t even mention the service here. Our butler, Rolando, is a thoughtful, kind person. We had such a great experience, part of it, is because of Rolando’s great work. He arranged our schedule so well.
We lived in sunset beach villa and sunset ocean villa. Both of them are great.
Love this place. And I will come back again!

Standing out from the crowd
Reviewed 4 days ago

There are over 100 resort hotels in Maldives. Most of them have similar remarkable settings with sublime sunsets, turquoise ocean vistas, expansive aquarium-like snorkelling, and picture-perfect white sand beaches.

Is it possible to stand out from the crowd? Ayada does. And it does so not with grand over-the-top extravagances and massive ocean villas, but rather with a subtle touch of warm, friendly, and efficient service, extreme comfort, beautiful food, and an overall value-for-money offering that is as good as anything I’ve ever experienced.

It’s a remarkable property in every way. We had high expectations – based on previous guest reviews, photographs, and the general setting of Maldives – but all perceptions were surpassed. The accommodation was fabulous – comfortable beds, luxurious linen with a personalised selection of pillows, spacious and trendy bathrooms, substantial and functional deck, rim flow pool, and incredible views.
I’m pretty certain that the Watersports Activity centre provided a wide array of exciting activities, but we found it impossible to give up time from our incredible snorkelling experiences enjoyed right from the deck of our Ocean Villa. Although its very clear that the coral is in a sad state across the Maldives (with water temperatures of 35 degrees I can understand why), the snorkelling is world class with phenomenally diverse ocean life and daily encounters with Blacktip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, and incredibly personal experiences with Sea Turtles.

The food was phenomenal: from Magu’s sumptuous buffet with continually changing themes – remarkable variation in styles, cultures, and preparation; to an over-water cape-cod style offering at Ocean Breeze with bright and spacious décor, extensive wine selection, and the freshest of fish; or an extensive lighter meal selection at the pool side restaurant Club Zero. (There was also a beautifully set beach barbecue option or a fine dining alternative, neither of which we enjoyed as we were so enamoured by Magu’s ever changing delights).

With a feast of different chefs preparing such incredible food, it was amazing how interactive and willing they were to spend time with guests and prepare additional customised food for our youngest child. But this seems to be the over-riding theme at Ayada – superior personalised service. Across the board, from the landscaping team to top management, every member of staff made you feel so welcome, always greeting us with welcome smiles and friendly engagement. It’s clear that the owner and management are very hands on, focusing intently on staff training and selection. It really is something that separates Ayada from one of the large chain hotels.
EVERY staff member we had the pleasure of interacting with was fantastic, friendly, efficient, well mannered, and engaging and went out of their way to ensure our holiday was above expectation. Despite the amazing setting, wonderful accommodation, and superb food, it was the staff that really made our holiday. A true testament to a very well run, owner-managed hotel. To name a few staff members seems almost unfair, but we were so well looked after by the restaurant managers Mohamed, Aruham, and Sunil, the waiters Bilal, Samah, and Faisel, and the chefs Carim and Piyush. Also a very special shout out to our amazing room cleaner Fahumee who excelled in all areas and presented amazing nightly palm leaf artworks on our bed.

This was a remarkable holiday and I cannot recommend Ayada highly enough. Maldives has a massive selection of branded chain hotels and is an extremely pricey destination, but Ayada delivers a top-of-the-charts five star value-for-money experience.

Perfect experience

Our family of 5 had an amazing time at Ayada. The service was impeccable, from the time we were met at the airport to when were escorted to our international flight home. We had the privelage of having Shifaaz as our butler. He was great with our kids, so genuinely kind and accommodating. The staff at Magu were also very kind especially Faizal and Aruham.

Our villa was beautiful and spacious! It was definitely heaven on earth! Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable. And I can honestly say our heart sank when we had to say goodbye.
