The service at Anantara really stood out for us. During our stay, we were always greeted with warm professionalism and cheerful conversation. We also enjoyed the possibility of staying in 3 different rooms, beach and overwater villa at Dhigu and beach house at Naladhu. All rooms were excellent. The range of restaurants and activities made each day a different experience and we particularly enjoyed nurse shark snorkeling and kayaking to the picnic island. Our favorite feature at Dhigu was the bicycles, it was such a fun way of getting around!

Well worth traveling half way around the world

Had a wonderful experience recently at Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli. We stayed in Veli, but spent a fair amount of time on Dhigu as well. You can enjoy all the amenities at both when you are staying at either one. Here are some of the highlights:

The Water: absolutely amazing! Warm, clear, and with every imaginable shade of blue and green.

The Wildlife: Right off our bungalow was The Discovery Channel!

The Room: Perfect size, with a nice comfortable bed. Our room boy, Muaz, left us great artwork nearly every day.

The Food: The buffets are in separate air conditioned closed off areas from the dining areas. I would generally avoid reef fish due to the risk of ciguatera poisoning, but it's well marked, so shouldn't be a problem.

We spent a little extra and had a private dining experience at Terrazo. Our Wine Guru for the evening, Sunil Kaushik, was phenomenal! With an encyclopedic knowledge of wine, and one of the sweetest personalities, we quickly bonded!

The Activities: The surfing at the local spot, Nonyas/Quarters, was great. Coline and Francois from TropicSurf were so incredibly warm and generous.

The snorkeling is great just around the bungalows and local flats. On one outing I saw a turtle, shark, And stingray, as well as countless other species.

The Staff and Service: Super friendly and generally good service.

The Value: Half the price of a place like Tahiti. Exceptional value.
