Overview

Hip, villa-style hideaway with modern design and private plunge pools near Seminyak’s beach

The Lowdown

Comprised of 24 thatched roof villas, the architecture of the Kayana Bali is airy and angular, with a crisp, modern approach to décor thanks to stone floors, wood-trimmed walls of windows, dramatically lit soaking tubs and pinstripes in place of batik. All accommodations come with 24-hour butler service and mod cons such as loaded iPods, plasma TVs and WiFi. Heated private plunge pools are set in well-manicured gardens with minimalist arrangements of stone and bamboo. Drink and dine poolside at Duah on Western or Asian dishes, or arrange for romantic in-villa experiences after a treatment in Ayur Spa.

In the Area

Party central for Bali’s bikini-clad jetset, “The Yak” is the island’s stylish center of luxury spas, sophisticated nightlife, foodie restaurants, and unique shopping — and, of course, high prices and traffic snarls, so rent a bike or moto to get around. Jalan Laksmana’s legion of indie boutiques is a good place to kit up for nights out at Ku de Ta and the W Retreat’s WOOBAR. If you need a little culture, TAKSU curates killer contemporary art and pretty Petitenget Temple is right off the beach, or just browse antiques on Jalan Kerobokan (near Seminyak Road).

Very good villa and warm staff
Reviewed 3 days ago

Came here in the end of last month for walk in floating breakfast
The staff was really polite and warm to handle us eventhough it was rainy to do floating breakfast
The food is standard for ala carte
But nasi goreng was really good
The dannish was little bit hard but still OK
The manager and the staff have arranged the best floating breakfast that i’ve ever had.
Shout out to all the staff!!
And one thing, they offered us a cup of tea when they accidentky realize we were getting cold caused of rain
Xoxo
Thank you kayana

The owner is an architect and has designed this place himself. It’s a gorgeous resort in a great location super close to all the boutique restaurants and shops. They also offer free rides to the Seminyak Square where most of the shopping is. The villa is very spacious inside and out and it’s a very long hotel compared to other resorts that are more wide. Spa is great as well, they had a buy one get one free massage. Amazing!

Amazing luxurious experience

I stayed at The Kayana for 2 nights and I have to say that everything was beyond my expectations. The signature floating breakfast in my villa is something I'll never forget.
The pool, the flowers, the food, the room, the spa, basically everything was great.
Also the location of the hotel is another point to mention. It's in the heart of Seminyak yet super quiet and peaceful the moment you step into the hotel.
Can't wait to go back!

On the whole, an enjoyable place to stay

My deal entitled me to a villa. The villa I was in was a bit tired. It was showing its age in a few places. Aspects of the villa were good, especially the outside space, and plunge pool. Having a villa nonetheless was a treat. The staff were fabulous, and the location was good as well. I did like the free transport to Seminyak. I had a deal that included meals. The food was well cooked and tasty, and generally some variety. However, they could done with more options for breakfast, such as pancakes or waffles. I would definitely sty there again, but would hope for a better villa. Others looked good.

A very nice experience!

We stayed in the Kayana in October 2018. Perfect location in the center of Seminyak, very nice villa and perfect service. The restaurant by a large pool offers a very nice view and is very good. Everyone was very helpful and kind. A very nice experience!
