- Laid-back lunches in the treehouse
- Getting tropical with an open-air rinse in the shower after a day hitting the waves
What To Know
- This is a quiet, secluded getaway; those looking for big resort amenities should go elsewhere
- Guestrooms don't have a fridge or coffeemaker
- WiFi is fast and reliable
No frills doesn’t have to mean no-go. For sweet simplicity at its finest, look no further than this boutique hideaway on Ceningan island – Lembongan’s pocket-sized neighbor.
Located three minutes from the shore, The Dafish is proof that good things come in small packages. Guests are accommodated in charming wooden bungalows – of which there are only six – and the on-site treehouse restaurant is one of the region’s hidden gems, serving an assortment of Balinese and Western dishes.
This quiet and intimate beach base is the kind of place where relaxation is unavoidable. Grab a freshly shaken cocktail at the tropical-style poolside bar, or if you prefer to venture out with your board, head south a little. You’ll find the nearest surf break a leisurely stroll or two-minute drive away at the alluringly named Secret Point Beach.
How to Get There
Off the fast boat and to the pick up corner, then you are off on a bike across the yellow bridge to your accommodation. What a treasure. We had a big villa with a massive comfy bed, down the steps bathroom and a nice balcony. The pool was very nice and cosy.
The family run Accommodation was just great. Everyone was helpful and friendly and we laughed a lot. They will do anything for you and assist. The island is safe to walk around and enjoy the area.
My initial thought of this hotel was good, the room facilities were really good and I loved the balcony. The pool was good and they will drop you and take you to places if you ask which is really kind too.
The hut we stayed in seems to have rats though and they kept us up at night. There is no safety deposit box in the room and when we were having breakfast one of the staff members insisted on cleaning our room for us whilst we were eating, when we got back to the room some money had gone missing.
It’s close to blue lagoon which is good, but not that close to the other bars in Ceningan.
I would recommend staying here for 2-3 nights.
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. We would have stayed longer is we didn't had another island trip planned.
We were picked up and brought back to Yellow Bridge. The cottage was clean and spacious, with a nice outdoor (but private) shower.
The accommodation is close to the beautiful Blue Lagoon and a hotspot for sufers. The last day we went snorkelling with Bajil which was an awesome boat trip!
Next time were going back to Dafish! Thank you!
My 3 girlfriends and I had Dafish recommended by other friends of ours that have stayed at Dafish several times, and omg now I understand why... it is amazing! We walked in, booked 2 bungalows, grabed a Bintang and relaxed by the stunning pool. Then they organised a snorkelling half day trip for us which was unbeatable! Beautiful people, stunning and clean rooms, tasty cocktails and food. I couldn't recommend more!!
Everything about our stay at The Dafish was really good! Great location close to really nice beaches and view points, including the blue lagoon. Short scooter ride from many restaurants and to the island of Lambongan. Clean room, nice pool and free breakfast. Would recommend!
