- Getting tropical with an open-air rinse in the shower after a day hitting the waves
What To Know

- WiFi is fast and reliable
No frills doesn’t have to mean no-go. For sweet simplicity at its finest, look no further than this boutique hideaway on Ceningan island – Lembongan’s pocket-sized neighbor.
Located three minutes from the shore, The Dafish is proof that good things come in small packages. Guests are accommodated in charming wooden bungalows – of which there are only six – and the on-site treehouse restaurant is one of the region’s hidden gems, serving an assortment of Balinese and Western dishes.
This quiet and intimate beach base is the kind of place where relaxation is unavoidable. Grab a freshly shaken cocktail at the tropical-style poolside bar, or if you prefer to venture out with your board, head south a little. You’ll find the nearest surf break a leisurely stroll or two-minute drive away at the alluringly named Secret Point Beach.
How to Get There
Stayed at DaFish for three nights and was so impressed with the service. They arranged transport from hotel in Ubud to Sanur ferry, assisted with purchasing ferry tickets and transport once arrived in Nusa Lembongan. One night they even scootered is to Nusa Lembongan for a very small fee. Very helpful.
The huts were pretty cute but we weren’t aware that the showers were salt water. One shower head was so hot that it wasn’t possible to use. Also, was very noisy at night so next time I would ask for a room far away from the road. But very clean.
Around the accommodation are some excellent restaurants and Secret Point beach is a short walk as well as Mahana Point.
You can also walk to the main part of Nusa Ceningan for the beach clubs.
The room we stayed at was a double decker and had beautiful view of the sea. The place was neat & clean and the pool was fun to use. The staff was very helpful too, especially on Nyepi Day. One has to rent a scooter to go visit the places, however, blue lagoon and mahana point (cliff jumping) are walking distance.
Unfortunately while we stayed there it was raining a lot and they had silent day being observed one of the days with no electricity, food, WiFi etc (it was informed by the host before hand itself, which was good) hence couldn't do much at the accommodation.
Stayed in the family bungalow and had such a great time. The staff were amazing and friendly and it made the stay really nice. It’s nice and close to other resorts so you can explore the island and they arranged a trip to Nusa Penida for us which is a must if you are there. DaFish is one of those little gems that you find now and again where you immediately feel relaxed and comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit
We enjoyed the Da Fish - so lovely and very pretty! Great spot, nice staff, beautiful pool and just overall a good spot to stay. We moved rooms because Room 1 is against the road with all of the barking dogs, but staff were fantastic and we stayed just behind the pool. Would recommend!
We loved dafish! All the staff were amazing and so incredibly helpful. They really make this place what it is. Rooms are clean and bathrooms bright. Nice pool area and delicious breakfasts. Affordable and close to everything. I would definitely stay again.
