Everything about Angsana, Bintan is extraordinarily good. All the members of the property are awesome as both individuals and professionals, and only because of their awesomeness can they provide such remarkable services to their guests.
Beti, Heri, Abdul, Ansal, Slem, Yanti, Hotna are peerless great and likeable. They make sure that all their guests are treated with utmost care. They are kind and cordial as well. They are an asset to the property.
When guests arrive at the hotel, they only get a few minutes to make a great first impression and it's effortlessly impressive. They are friendly and sweet to talk to.
All the above mentioned names are professionals who set the tone of the entire experience that the guests will get from their stay.
The housekeeping (all of them )are trustworthy efficient and good.
Print service , amazing view of the sea and the beach, great music playing during happy hours on the beach , great restaurants. In short a happy resort
The GM of the property is fantastic making sure that all the guests are well taken care of and in the lap of comfort.
I was looking for a holiday with a blend of luxury, relaxation, warm hospitality, excellent food, spacious rooms with a view and I am glad I made the right choice.
Thanks a ton to all of them for their fabulous services and for making my stay a memorable one. Hope to have more such memorable stay at your property with all the lovely people around. All the best to the entire team of Angsana, Bintan . May you continue with your excellent hospitality!
Ms. Simona Choudhury.
We were disappointed with our room which had torn, rusty lampshades, dirty fitting ,cracked mugs and a light that would not turn off due to a warped cupboard door. The staff allowed loud music and shouting to continue till well past midnight in the outdoor recreation area , disturbing sleep [though the beds are comfortable]. On talking to management we were moved to a peaceful room which appeared fairly recently refurbished and with beautiful sea views - a whole different experience!
The food is average in taste though is presented nicely. Breakfast was a mediocre buffet .
The beach is lovely and clean and we encountered no oil slicks, sandflies or jellyfish so thoroughly enjoyed it. The pool is pleasant but there is once again maintenance required on torn /damaged loungers.
All in all the hotel has dropped short of its potential and needs an injection of love and attention to maintenance and detail to bring it all up to 5*.
Hotel was nice, spacious and quiet - yes the bathrooms etc. were a little dated, but all clean and kept well. Pool was nice and not too busy.
Compared to Banyan Tree (where you would pay 3x the cost for a room), it was a good deal, particularly as you can use the Banyan Tree's restaurants.
Some reviews complain about the lizards and bats, but I thought they were great fun to watch from my balcony, especially at sunset when they started to fly out of the roof.
Spa was high quality, fairly expensive but they have deals when you are in-resort.
My only real complaint was that on the Saturday night, the only available place to eat was the beach BBQ, which at c. SGD50 pp was really very expensive (especially compared to the normal menu!). I might have put up with this, but they were also playing the same dance track on repeat - which was overbearing, and not in fitting with the setting. There weren't many people eating here, and I suspect that is why.
