Great family vacation~
Reviewed 12 hours ago

The Red Wall Garden was a nice oasis from the hustle and chaos of Beijing. Was our first time trip to Beijing with my family and this hotel was a good choice as the staff is very nice and helpful.

Rooms were clean enough, but wished we had a bath tub rather than just a shower. The rooms surrounded the courtyard and would have preferred to get a room on a higher floor for privacy. Felt safe enough but left the curtains closed at all times since we were on ground floor. Recommend asking for an upper floor room.

We really enjoyed the breakfast... they were quite accommodating and loved the noodle soup dish they made upon request (i wanted to try something more authentic).

Just awesome! Charming, cozy, comfortable, fantastic location, really a “Chinese experience” at its best!
Lu is a sweet and experienced concierge.

In love with this precious hidden gem in Beijing!

warm and cozy

warm and cozy doesn't only describe the suite we had, but the whole hotel.
we were there in January and were dreading the freezing cold, but the hotel was kept warm and comfortable..
the staff was incredibly helpful, kind and warm. they were always able to find a way to
provide an answer to my tricky questions. Also its location near the Forbidden City and the metro was invaluable.
we stayed for 2 weeks in a top floor suite and enjoyed all the amenities.
the decor throughout the hotel is very interesting and informative. we even had
a calligraphy introduction in the hotel.
we will definitively stay in this hotel again when next in Beijing.
We just hope the new site will be as good as this one is.

Spectacular 5-Star Stay with Endless Accomodations

From the moment we checked in, our experience at the Red Wall Garden Hotel was magical. We had been tirelessly travelling across the country and were bored of the typical, worn out mentality of large chain-type hotels. At the RWG Hotel we felt a warm, welcoming vibe from the start.

They cater to foreigners and make the experience so much less awkward navigating the city when you don't speak Mandarin. They provide a map and a local guide (in english), local tips & how-to's and even a card with the most popular destinations written in Chinese and English to show cab drivers and also to help navigate back to the hotel.

The hotel is located in a beautiful Hutong in central Beijing which has a truly authentic feel. The accomodations are countless - a private space to host a tea ceremony on the top floor, a Specialty Pillow Menu?! (Unheard of). The subway is just a 5 minute walk. The best restaurant in Beijing is located conveniently around the corner. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy and the restaurant downstairs is absolutely delicious! They even host a traditional performance during peak season.

I couldn't have had a better experience in Beijing and it was primarily due to the fact that we chose the Red Garden Wall Hotel. Not to mention the invaluable tip about visiting Mutianyu instead of Badaling for the Great Wall and taking the Toboggan sled down the mountain. I havent had that much fun in years! And its all thanks to the wonderful team at the RWG Hotel.

I couldn't recommend this place more. I wish I could explain just how perfect it was but words do it an injustice. You need to see for yourself!

Holiday in china!

So i had a holiday in china and have stayed in the Red Wall Garden hotel and another one in Xi'an. Out of the 2 i much preferred the Red Wall. From the friendly and very helpful staff to the amazing room we had. Also not forgetting the chefs in the morning, who if you ask they can cook you fresh eggs and other breakfast related food. The location was great all in walking distances and if beed be they can all you a taxi to get you where you need to go. Loved Bejing so much.

Overall this hotel was has a real authentic feel to china, very safe and very peaceful. 9 out 10 for me and if for any reason I would go back to Beijing i would go back to this hotel. :)
