How to Get There
We really enjoyed our stay, such a lovely hotel, great staff, good location and a real haven away from the madness of Beijing.
The hotel restaurant was really nice just pricey compared to local restaurants.
A few really good cheap eats just outside the hotel like dumplings, bakeries and fruit shops but it is a bit far from any attractions...as in 30min walk to Forbidden city but we enjoyed the walk as we got to see more of the city.
This is s beautiful hotel. Traditional yet stylish and functional. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Beijing that is looking for something a little bit different. Very quiet and private.
It was recommended and reserved for me by a colleague. I was very positively surprised by how good and home like it was and yet was convenient for business meetings and interactions. The food was very good also
Just returned from China and the above hotel no longer available - CLOSED. If you have this booked get it changed NOW. Can’t rate it. Had to pay to stay in a nearby hostel. Tours for the following days all had to be re arranged.
This is a great little property in the heart of Beijing. Our room was cozy and had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Unfortunately my son and I were visiting in January so we didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of the courtyard. The staff was very attentive and it has a wonderful, small, on-sight restaurant. The staff put out a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. I've had friends stay in the large luxury hotels of Beijing but I'd take this property over the glitz of the international hotels that dot the city. Loved this place.
