How to Get There
Manchebo is one of the first Resorts on Aruba but kept extremely nice. It is wonderfully located on an impeccable beach of world rank. The three restaurants are state of the art, the staff is wonderful, the small size of this boutique resort gives the intimacy that can’t be found anywhere else on the Island. It is hard to name all the wonderful people here so I name Alex as a profound example for these wonderful crew members I would like to call them. Here at Manchebo you will find everything to match you whatever expectations. A heartfelt Thank You to Manchebo... We will return!
We visited the Pega Pega Bar every night for happy hour. The music played is brilliant.
The Bar staff especially Ignatius, are really wonderful. So friendly and committed to serving every customer courteously and friendly. They can’t do enough to help you in any way possible. Also at lunch time the salads served are varied and very delicious. There is also a range of chicken dishes. The Staff member we have great affection for is Ada. She is the most helpful and professional of all.
Manchebo Beach Resort is by far the best place to stay if you are looking for excellent staff, great accomodations, quite, safe and close to wonderful resturants, not to mention a pretty nice casino. The beach staff is excellent especially Josue.
Very good Hotel (4.5). The service and the location of the hotel is really the high points. For sure the best place/ area to stay in Aruba. They provide a cooler with the flexibility to bring your own stuff. The only opportunity to move to a 5 is to have more modern rooms, but it is just a minor thing.
Just returned from a wonderful four night stay. I love this place. This is my fourth (or fifth??) stay. I stayed here first for my honeymoon and have returned over the years with my family, including my mother on this last trip. As always, the service was good and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed seeing some familiar faces and at least one of the staff members remembered me from a prior stay.
We were celebrating a 60th and 40th birthday and were treated to a room upgrade and some in room goodies from the resort (thanks!). Very nice and appreciated.
What I love most is the peacefulness of this resort. No getting up early for beach chairs and shade. There are plenty of chairs for everyone! HOWEVER, the beach is rough here and not great for kids, folks with mobility issues, or non-swimmers. My mother wasn't able to get in the ocean here (was quickly knocked down) but enjoyed the pool. The spa is also very nice.
The other thing to note is that this is a relatively quiet resort and may not be ideal for kids. The pool closes early and there are typically no other kids around the resort. I have brought my son (now 9) multiple times but always feel concerned about disturbing others if he gets loud and also guilty that he doesn't have any other kids to play with. We do get quality family time and a beautiful, wide peaceful beach though, so it's a trade off.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will come back again.
