Great place with super friendly staff, perfect food and drinks at a wonderful place. we would definitely stay again. Rooms are very tidy and big enough, meeting everyone's needs. Also renting a car through the reception worked out fine

Will stay here again!

Amsterdam Manor did not disappoint! Everyone was friendly, property was clean and it was a great value for the price! My husband and I wanted to get away and relax in a beautiful place, and we found that here. We did not do the all-inclusive and found a grocery store within walking distance. There are also restaurants, a Dunkin Donuts and a casino that we walked to as well. We're getting older and paying the extra money for the all-inclusive just didn't make sense for us. The beach is a quick walk across the street, and it's clean and beautiful. White sand (that doesn't burn your feet) and no rocks when you walk into the water. Loved it! Transportation on the buses was so easy and inexpensive. As my title indicates, we will come here again. It was perfect for us!

Perfect place for a relaxing Aruba vacation
Reviewed 3 days ago

Located off the main road about halfway between the tourist-trap-like downtown/port area in Oranjestad and the tourist-teeming mega hotel area, Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort is the perfect place for relaxing in your spacious room (we were upgraded to apartments with full kitchens and furnished front porch), and taking a dip in the warm Caribbean waters after snoozing in the sun on the snow-white beach. You'll want a car to get around because, aside from the beach, there isn't much of interest within walking distance, except a huge supermarket. The hotel has ample free parking and, aside from the complete lack of street signage and the ubiquitous roundabouts at intersections, driving in Aruba is pretty easy. It's a very small island, after all.

A pretty good breakfast buffet is on offer at Mango's which is on the hotel side of the road. Passions on the beach serves excellent dinners and drinks in a very romantic atmosphere -- the tables are set on the sand. You can sit around the bar on a more solid surface if you prefer to keep your shoes on. The dj at Mango's upstairs bar has good taste in listen-able music. There's a small pool on site as well.

The front desk staff are friendly; you're greeted with a delicious cold rum drink at check-in. There's a tiny store selling snacks and the usual odds and ends; a do-it-yourself laundry is also available. The only negatives are that the bathroom is on the small side and poorly lit. On the other hand, the sitting room and dining + kitchen areas in the apartments are really large and comfortably furnished.

In short, you'll agree with the Aruba slogan of "One Happy Island" if you stay at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort -- it is an excellent choice over the American and European chain hotel resorts farther up the road.

Easy Beach Access

Amsterdam Manor is the perfect place to stay. The beach access is close and easy and there was always an umbrella available (the permanent wood ones). They even have outlets! There's a beach bar that serves drinks and lunch during the day and the hotel provides towels and floaties directly on the beach. Most importantly, the beach isn't over crowded like where the big hotels are. We stayed in July and the big hotels still looked crowded.

Three of us stayed in a studio/1 br room that came with all of the amenities including a microwave, blender, coffee maker, etc. You can request either two single beds or one queen size bed. Our third friend stayed on the sofa that turns into a bed. She said it was comfortable enough.

I didn't spend any time at the pool but it looked very nice. It has a waterfall and is not windy (Aruba is a windy island). There is a mini market in the hotel that is expensive so we went to the grocery store instead which is about a 5 minute walk away.

Overall would definitely stay here again.

Best hotel in Aruba!

Loved everything about this resort! We took our 17 and 21 year old daughters. We were right on the beach so hopping from the beach to the pool was easy. This isn’t a chain hotel with too many rooms. The pool was never over crowded, could always find a seat in the shade or sun no matter if we were at the pool or beach. Staff was amazing!
