How to Get There
Champagne in the room upon arrival, incredible customer service, large one-room suite and the most relaxing time on vacation, ever! We would highly recommend the resort, the location, the staff and Aruba as your next vacation destination.
After spending 4 other vacations in Aruba at hotels in the high rise district, we decided to try staying in the low rise district this year. We had visited Eagle Beach last year for a day and loved the quiet atmosphere, so we chose the Amsterdam Manor Hotel based on its location directly across the street. Suffice it to say, we will never go back to the high rise! The pace of life is so much more relaxed! I was sold from the first day, when I realized I could sleep until 7:30 am and still get a prime palapa on the beach even at the height of the February tourist season (I had to be on line no later than 6 am at my high rise hotel - and all that got me was a back row palapa). The hotel itself is beautiful - with friendly, courteous staff, beautifully landscaped grounds, and an outstanding location. We had a Superior Studio which gave us a small patio with 2 chairs outside our room where we could sit and enjoy our breakfast and lunch or an evening cocktail with a view of the ocean. The small kitchen was perfect and very well stocked. We walked to SuperFoods on the first day and stocked up on breakfast and lunch items which gave us the freedom to eat whenever we liked. My only critique was that the coffeemaker was a bit tricky to use and didn't always work for me. But the hotel supplied all the coffee pods, sugar and creamer we liked for the entire week which was very nice. They also had fresh fruit every day at the front desk. The concierge was excellent, making dinner reservations for us even before we arrived (requested via email) and confirming for us when we arrived, as well as arranging our excursions. The beach attendants were excellent, and the beach bar and restaurant were wonderful. We arrived on Super Bowl Sunday, and watched the game on a 75" TV they set up in the second floor outdoor bar, and we munched on appetizers throughout the game. We loved every minute and can't wait to go back next year!
We stayed in one of the first floor rooms overlooking the ocean. It was just a simple walk across the road to the beach. In the past we've stayed in the high rise section of Aruba's hotels and found the beach to be very crowded and it was much noisier.
This is a great location for a relaxing vacation away from the crowds, but close to nice restaurants and within walking distance of the Super Food market.
The most perfect place to stay when you want a spend a vacation. Beautiful rooms, perfect service, a very kind Manager, Mr Alfred and a staff who is always there at your service. It is a pace to go ovr and over again. A kind of second home in the Caribbean
This resort is definitely the place to stay if you are looking for a smaller, less crowded resort with your own entrance to your suite. The suites and premises are very well taken care of and the staff is friendly and very accommodating for any needs. The food at the restaurants is delicious and having dinner at Passions on the beach is a definite must for a beautiful sunset evening! Eagle Beach is across the street from the resort, and in my opinion is the most beautiful beach on the island.
