How to Get There
Great time , been going for 5 years and it gets better every year. Special kudos to Beach Bar staff Claudia , Sassy and Ricardo. Actually wish I knew all the staffs name because they are all fantastic. Will be back in June
PLBR-I have been coming to Aruba Many Years. I Appreciate the quick check in in 2018. MARVIN CROES AND MARIO TRAMP at the front desk were EXCELLENT in my point of view. I Like Low Stress. I want to get to the point. These two young men are PERFECT for the job they are doing.
This was our first visit to Playa Linda, and our 4th to Aruba. We usually stay at an all inclusive, but the standards there have gone downhill significantly, and my husband’s CEO recommended Playa Linda. From the moment we arrived we were treated so nicely; Diego greeted us as soon as we got out of the taxi and immediately got our luggage. I was on crutches and he was so nice and helpful making sure I was ok. Sue-Ann at the front desk was so helpful and made sure we knew where everything was and answered all our questions.
Our room was lovely, very spacious and very clean and we also had a nice view. There was a great balcony where we could sit and watch the ocean and the sunset. I had read some reviews that the rooms were outdated, and yes the furniture and bed could use some updating, but the most important thing is that it was spotlessly clean and kept that way the whole time by Alexjandra.
The pool area is just gorgeous and I like that there is an adults only pool as there are lots of kids running around, so its nice to know you can go to a pool where there isn’t any jumping children.
The beach is gorgeous, and the water is calm and blue. There are Chickie huts and you can reserve one each day by going down starting at 6am. The system is you have to be there to get your hut, you CANNOT leave things there overnight, and you cannot leave it empty for more than 2 hours. This system is perfect as it gives everyone the chance to get a hut for the day, and it also makes sure someone doesn’t get one and not use it. Other properties might want to take note of this; there is no favoritism, no reserving late at night, it’s a great system, (side note:while it says 6am there were people who got there earlier to get the front ones. We got there 5:55 and the front ones were already taken by people who had been there awhile.)
The clientele are people who have gone there for years and all seem to know each other, but everyone was pleasant and respectful. There was no loud music or excessive cell phone talking (except for thanksgiving day one woman on her phone was FaceTiming the beach and was annoyingly loud for a bit.)
The sand is powder and the beach is kept relatively clean. The swimming area is roped in so boats don’t come near you, and once in awhile you get some nice waves. In the distant you see parasailing, beautiful boats going by and it’s just so relaxing.
The best part of the beach is Carolina, the beach server!!! Carolina is just a bright ray of sunshine on an already gorgeous beach. She comes by always happy to take your drink orders and then delivers them with the biggest smile!! My husband and I got sangria every day from Carolina and one day she met us as we were coming out of the water with two glasses of sangria, now that’s service!
There are restaurants on the property and tons of places to eat and shop nearby.
I truly loved our stay at Playa Linda and I can’t wait to go back again.
After exchanging into Playa Linda for many years, sold my other timeshare and bought at Playa Linda. Great beach, great location and staff that are like family to us. Resort is kept in great condition with recently renovated lobby and pools. The concierge Yvette is great at making reservations at any restaurants you need, whenever you need them. She made our 35th wedding anniversary special last year by quickly fulfilling my last minute request for roses delivered to our room for my wife. Yvette is great!!
We've been visiting Playa Linda for several years and have always enjoyed our visit. Each time we have visited we have used the services of Yvette Tromp, the PL concierge. She has always been pleasant and very informative about the restaurants and services provided at PL.
