How to Get There
The property is beautiful, the facilities are amazing and the staff is extremely accommodating. My only recommendation is if you stay there during the winter months, ask for an extra blanket. The rooms are large in the little AC heater unit that they have does not have the capacity to heat the room appropriately. That did not stop us from having a great time. Housekeeping brought us another blanket and everything is great. My compliments to the entire staff for making our stay a great one.
I like the all suites style of the Lodge. Kitchens in all rooms is nice. Bathrooms are generous. Rooms are a little tired but tidy. Lighting in the rooms could be better (e.g. brighter, non-flicker) and the air handlers are very noisy. Service overall is very good. The golf staff is exceptional in my opinion. The courses are challenging but fun and very playable for men and ladies alike. My only issue is the "resort fee". This is not unique to The Lodge but I don't miss an opportunity to point it out. I believe properties should build all of their required "fees" into the rate for transparency.
The staff and facilities are fabulous. The golf courses are kept in great shape. The configuration with the rooms bar/grill , office and pro shop is excellent with everything only a very short walk away. The only things I wish were better is the lighting in the Lodge rooms and better availability for electrical plugs.
1. We booked a suite with a very spacious bathroom that had a shower but no tub. This was an intentional design choice on their part for these suites. I am surprised that is the case at a resort which is used by many retired people in the winter. And I get it about water in AZ.
2. the lighting is terrible.
3. Breakfast was wonderful.
Nice place. quiet with a very comfy bed.
We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. Friendly and accommodating staff! It has every amenity you can think of including a lap pool. Beautiful rooms with leather/wood furnishings and upscale stone bathrooms. We loved our stay and will be back in the future!
