How to Get There
Very nice room, lovely amenities, could use better lighting but on the whole very nice hotel. Would stay again and recommend the place but think the price is a bit steep. Like the location. I think it’s convenient.
I had the opportunity to stay at the Sedona Rouge over the weekend with a girlfriend of mine. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. The Director of Sales, Daniel, made sure our stay was perfect. He really exemplifies what hospitality is and should be. We had spa treatments the evening we arrived and everyone made us feel at home... and relaxed. The best part is the location... the views from our terrace were breathtaking and I wish we didn't have to leave.
My husband and I spent one night in Sedona. It was our 6th hotel in 7 nights on our vacation though Arizona and New Mexico. Matthew checked us in and was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. The room was well laid out. The bed was amazingly comfortable - the most comfortable bed all week! The towels are amazing. Side and over the head shower heads. Fireplace in the room. View of the red rocks of Sedona. The grounds are beautiful with fountains and pools and gas fire pits. Really beautiful. Only downside is the location isn’t close to uptown and is next to a shopping center (which isn’t unattractive and is convenient). Overall - this experience was full of luxury and we would be delighted to stay again and make time next time for the spa!
Nice size room with good view. My first room was on the first floor and a wedding party moved in above me. Needless to say, I didn't sleep a wink that first night. Lots of noise. The next morning the manager immediately moved me to a room on the third floor which was peaceful and pleasant. Great, large shower and wonderful bedding - slept like a baby. I like the hotel and staff very much but skip the restaurant if you are going there for drinks - ours were terrible. Don't know about the food.
Sedona is lovely but the Sedona Rouge Hotel is not. I was looking forward to staying at the hotel but the experience at the hotel was horrible. We arrived early and were told check in was 4 pm and would text us when room available. They never did. When I showed them their policy of 3 p.m. they said it was wrong. And got very defensive.
The next morning we asked for late check out at 12. They agreed easily but shortly after 11 a.m. we received a call for us to leave and asked if we need help with bags. This was shortly after raising concerns about the check-in issue. It was like retaliation.
Furthermore, the room was dark and no view despite implied when I booked. The way it is advertised is misleading.
The staff was unpleasant and helpful - one in particular. No apologies when I raised the issues. In fact they got defensive and condescending. It was truly unpleasant. Left a very bad taste of my trip.
I will be writing the company directly.
