Disappointed
Reviewed 1 day ago

Had two nights to spend at the Hilton Sedona Resort and was very disappointed. I stay exclusively at Hilton brand hotels for businesses and leisure and am a Gold Level Hilton Member. The Sedona Hilton did not live up to the Hilton standard. Arrived on July 30th - July 2nd and paid for an upgraded room which was very spacious but had a broken air conditioner. Regardless of the thermostat the air would not cool below 75 degrees. Needless to say we had a bad first night sleep. Upon going to report our problems at the front desk I was given a $50 credit and was told that maintenance would fix the problem as we explored the wonderful area. Came back later in the afternoon to a 78 degree room and was offered a room move in the evening but didn’t want to be inconvenienced as we were checking out the next day. The manager again told me that maintenance m would work on the problem and she was sure it would cool the room.
The manager asked if she could bring some fans up which I graciously accepted. The next morning prior to checking out I politely asked for an additional discount for night #2 and was told that they could not do that as I was already given a $50 credit for night #1.
As far as I was concerned the problem was never solved and $50 did not solve the problem. A room move to another floor at 6pm was a major inconvenience for a family of four trying to enjoy their last evening in town.
I will continue to stay at Hilton Hotels but am not at all satisfied how this was resolved by the staff. Actually not sure that maintenance even looked at the problem

Great Experience in Sedona
Reviewed 2 days ago

We enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend and the amenities were great and the scenery was amazing! The quality of the room was great as was the food. The staff was very helpful and friendly as they helped my wife and I coordinate our daily itinerary.

Way to much money for poor to mediocre experience.

Outrageous prices for poor to mediocre room service and experience. Choose Marriott when ever and where ever possible. My family and I were disappointed with almost every aspect of our experience at this hotel. Sadly this is not the first negative experience we have had with Hilton. Hidden fees are atrocious. I felt like the hotel owner in Les Miserable was in charge.

Short trip to Sedona with 2 Goldens

We were looking for a destination that wasn't too long of a drive from home so started looking for dog friendly hotels in Sedona and the Hilton turned out to be perfect. We knew it was going to be toasty for the 2 Golden Retrievers but we weren't planning on hiking...just a nice lunch at Tlaquepaque and a one night stay over a Sunday night. Sunday turned out to be overcast so that worked out for the dogs. We thought check in was 3 so mis-calculated that and our room wasn't ready but we were told to bring the dogs in and relax in the patio area. Everyone was so friendly to the dogs and wanted to greet them and say hello. All the other guests must have been at the pool so we had the patio area to ourselves so the dogs were able to settle in. This was the first time we had taken them to a hotel but you would have thought they were regulars. We were given a treat bag for the dogs which had a tennis ball, scarf, cookies, a Hilton dog tag and a really nice poo bag holder with bags. We were told there were really no areas, other than the pool, that the dogs were not welcome. Once we got the text that our room was ready we were delighted to find out we were upgraded to a suite ( Gold members ) which gave us more room for the dogs. All dogs must stay on the first floor which was fine because we could take them right out the patio door for quick nature walks. The only thing is the patios are tiny and not enclosed so there was no sitting out there with them.

We had researched dog friendly restaurants for dinner but just decided to make it easy and returned to the patio with the dogs for a casual meal. We were told that we would have to sit down around the fire pits because of the dogs but it was very nice and there was artificial turf so the dogs were actually more comfortable. The waiter quickly brought out 2 bowls of water for them and a doggie dinner menu. The people food was very good as well. It was a very relaxing evening and fun for the dogs who were getting lots of attention.

The next morning we headed down for breakfast and this time we were given a regular table on the outside patio where again the dogs were each brought a bowl of water and made a big fuss over.

Our thanks to the staff as they made our first hotel venture with the dogs a delight. We plan on going back in the fall when it is cooler and stay 2 nights.

We were in Sedona for a destination wedding. This resort is a bit outside "downtown" Sedona, but we found it to be easy to get there and back. It was beautiful looking out at Bell Rock each day. Sedona in general looks like a landscape oil painting most days - just incredible. We were grateful to be able to have 2 adjoining rooms, 1 was a suite, so it was great to have the door open to share space. The pool was closed (for a photo shoot) for 2 mornings we were there, but we found other things to do in Sedona (hike, etc). The pool itself was really nice with lots of stuff for the "littles". The staff around the pool, as well as front desk and restaurants were all nice. We liked the "to go" breakfast items (and Starbucks) in the bar area in the morning The one thing I thought was odd was that most restaurants in Sedona closed earlier than we are used to. We did find Rotten Johnnys (good pizza) nearby. We were in Sedona for 3 nights and it was really nice. We will definitely go back. We thought the s'mores at night around the patio with the games was a nice touch.
