How to Get There
Great, spacious, and clean room. Nice fire pits at night. Easy check-in and out. Very nice property. Did not try the restaurants.
Takes maybe 20 minutes to drive into touristy Sedona, so you won’t be walking to the tacky shops from here. I liked that because it was quieter here, but if you prefer to walk straight to things from your hotel, you’ll need to go closer in to uptown.
Positive - the service (people) and amenities (pool/athletic club/spa) were delightful.
Negative - the rooms are below the Hilton standard. The walls are paper thin. In addition to hearing the woman coughing in the other room (I hope she gets better), when someone took a shower above us, it sounded like it was raining on our ceiling. I have never heard that in a hotel room before.
I don't think it is worth the price given the room experience.
The Hilton has a lot to offer - with a great restaurant and bar area and wonderful outdoor seating area. Such a shame that the service is unpredictable. And the bedrooms lack light and flow.
Guests wait inexplicable lengths for service, the maitre d is “out to lunch” . The staff lack a consistency of service - menu, provide water, take order, serve food, clear food, provide the check. On average 3 out of the 5 things were provided, with an endless wait for 2 out of the 5! Around us, at every meal, people waited for, or complained about service. The rooms (well ours at least) was very dark, which was such a shame when there’s blazing sun outside. The spa is so dated. Marvellous masseuse called Karinna but reception staff lack initiative, personality and training. This Hilton doesn’t seem to know what it stands for and why. A really disappointing stay. Despite the fabulous Sedona landscape. Wished we’d gone to the Amara. Such a shame - it was our 25th wedding anniversary celebration.
