How to Get There
This is a great hotel, the staff are just the best, they were so polite and helpful. As many have said , the breakfast is great, rooms spacious and clean.
Great location for the train station. There are a number of restaurants and bars within a 6 minute walk. The old town is about 35 minute walk where there are lots of restaurants and bars.
If you like Belgium beer then get the train to Mechelen (€5.20 returns and is 25 minutes away) and visit the Carolus brewery, they do tours which takes about 90 minutes and you get to sample 2 of their beers at the end of the tour. You can then sample many more in their bar/restaurant.
In Antwerp you can get the water bus from the quay near the Antwerp equivalent of the London eye, it goes both ways, either into the main port or in the opposite direction out to the suburbs.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I came just for the night, the room was clean and spaceious.
The breakfast was very nice.
The hotel is pretty close to the highway therefore if you need a quick route to leave Antwerpen this is the hotel for you
Excellent in every aspect. Clean and well provisioned. Staff very helpful and polite. Always welcomed us as we left and said hello when we arrived.😃 Close to metro. Breakfast was extensive (even sparkling wine). Food hot and flavoursome.
Expensive, but quality suite room, large bathroom and great bed with great pillows good breakfast 23 euro can get 5 pm checks if an extra 50 euros is paid, worth staying if you need a business hotel no gym or pool , close to train station
'We just visited Lindner hotel Antwerp. Our stay was reasonable however there were a few complaints I have. When we booked we didn't get any information the hotel is in the midst of a massive rebuild. The lobby and reception is nothing more then a building site. I would think potential guests should get informed about this when they make a reservation. Also the surrounding of the hotel is a massive building site and the lights (and the noise) of the build were literally bursting into our room.
During most of our stay the internet wasn't working. When calling this in, the receptionist told us his internet worked and he used the same wifi... and that's it. No solution and no further help.
We upgraded to a business class room because of the Nespresso machine on the room. We hardly got any sugar and milk on the first day so we went to the reception and asked for more (the same guy as above). He told us he could send a colleague up to our room with some packages of sugar and milk powder but it would cost us a 10 euro room service fee. That was a it much so we decided to go to the restaurant and ask for some over there. The person over there was helpful and told us she would get us some packages and bring to us. That was on Saturday afternoon and unfortunately we never received the milk and sugar. So we decided to get our coffee opposite the hotel at a coffee bar...
The room was clean on first sight. Looking at the spots that were less obvious you could see it was hardly ever cleaned. The sheets on the bed weren't spotless and the hotel room had some undefined smudges on the wall next to the bed.
The location (besides the building site) is near the city center (20 min. walk from the great square)'.
