How to Get There
Such a mess. i checked in for 4 days from thursday. was woken at 7 am on day 1 as they where renovating the floor above me. Someone was drilling the floor above my bedroom. Reception said no problem they wont be renovating over the weekend. Guess what, i was woken 8 am on saturday by the renovation too . I work at night, so this was a big dealbreaker for me. Also there is no roomservice on sundays, and the staff is less than helpfull. Obviously no minibar either. I dont know how this hotel has a 4 star rating.
I expected much more from a 4* hotel. The rooms, floor and tables in the restaurant where not really clean. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The staff was present but nothing more than that. The food in the restaurant was good and bad, depending on the day. The breakfast was ok but I also expected more from a 4* hotel. Better go to the Ibis around the corner. You get more for less of the price.
The worst thing about the room was the dusty room.
So this is situated next to central station in Antwerp. The room was hot (heating could have been less), but big enough, and clean enough, although the bathroom door had some blue cleaning solution spilled against the inside. The reception desk needs a different approach, payment should be possible on arrival and not only when leaving, just a box to deposit your room key would be great. Breakfast was very big, with a lot of choice and good quality, but still not worth 22 euros..
this review is for the 1 bedroom apartments and not the hotel.
Centrally located, right next to the railway station, close by to restaurants. not truly in the center of all the activity but close enough so its not too noisy.
good modern and comfortable rooms, good well appointed bathrooms
house keeping was hit and miss, you never knew if they what they would forget.
we didn't really eat much there since the food was expensive but the bar was always full of people so it was probably good.
good attentive front desk staff.
all in all, a good solid high quality place
Lovely hotel, really enjoyed our stay here. Room was great, really spacious and a huge bed. Clean and well equipped. Nespresso machine and a kettle. Staff were really friendly and helpful. In a great location 5 minutes walk from the station. We had a balcony also. Great value for money also.
