Exceptional small hotel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is such a lovely small hotel with great decor & exceptional service. We have rarely had such a warm welcome. And when we left our wireless ear buds somewhere in the hotel, it was no hassle for the hotel staff to track them down send them on. Beyond the call of duty. Well done. We look forward to a return visit.

Boutique gem
Reviewed 2 months ago

We booked this hotel for a two night break, I wanted somewhere quiet and stylish but within easy walking distance of Antwerp's attractions and restaurants - this met all my criteria and more. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the decor in the lounge and bar; our 'Classic' room was more traditional with lots of white and a stunning big bathroom. Service was excellent and breakfast delicious, cooked individually. A boutique gem.

A Funky Boutique Hotel
Reviewed 3 months ago

I booked this slightly unusual hotel as a stop over on the way from France to Amsterdam. Whilst the funky decor might not he to everyone's taste, it was of high quality. The service was first class. Nothing was too much trouble, from a late night glass of wine to assisting with a nice restaurant for dinner. The breakfast choice was perhaps not as varied as a large hotel, but the quality was excellent. The location was great, just a short walk to the old town. I would definitely stay again.

Unique Gem

I understand that everybody has there taste but for me this is a little gem of a boutique hotel, the service is amazing you feel that your staying in somebody home, and they cater for all your needs. Its a nice refreshing change than staying in a large hotel.... I would recommend anyhow going to Antwerp its a MUST

Terribly tacky decor
Reviewed 3 months ago

Unlike most reviews here, I think that the decor of this hotel is very tacky to say the least. It was refurbished in 2012, a real shame that the decorators turned this old 17th century town house with its wooden old beams, ceilings and once white walls, into a mismatch of tasteless floral wall papers, fabrics, and modern eclectic velvety furniture. The lobby’s living room has a leopard sofa (best suited for the Flinston’s household) combined with a black furry carpet, black furry chairs, and gold flowery wall paper. The old tiled fireplace, the only beautiful feature in the room, seems so out of place. The decorators even managed to spoil a modern bathroom by placing a chandelier around the shower head.
Having said all this, the place is so unlike anything I had ever seen, that we have sort of enjoyed it.
