Overview

A stylish five-star Sheraton beach stay on the Canary isle of Fuerteventura, with spa access and half board

The Lowdown

The Canary Island of Fuerteventura is favoured by beach aficionados and active types alike. Embrace both in five-star luxury at Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort. Standing proudly in palatial fashion overlooking the magnificent sweep of beach at Caleta de Fuste, it pays tribute to Canarian design in its architecture, with arched balustraded balconies, terracotta buildings and red tiled roofs. Immaculately landscaped tropical gardens, complete with babbling waterfall, and manicured lawns slope gently towards the sea.
Its grounds house an impressive freeform oasis-like swimming pool, guarded by natural boulders and palm trees, plus three other pools. Enjoy a cocktail at the poolside bar or amble down for a stroll or sunbathe on the long expanse of sandy beach. Elsewhere you’ll find a flagship 1000-square-metre spa – a destination in itself. Golf buffs can tee off on a mini-golf course on site or enjoy premium access to the 18-hole courses at Fuerteventura Golf Club and Golf Club Salinas Antigua.
Back at the hotel, you can dine at one of four restaurants that run the gamut of global cuisine, before rounding off the evening with a cocktail in the Piano Lobby Bar.

If your a family, you’ll love it & if for any other reason you stay at the Sheraton, I guarantee you’ll love it. Rooms, food, staff, location etc, perfect in every way. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel

Very nice holidays

It is a very nice hotel. The staff was nice and friendly, but the housekeeping team was missing some points. The hotel is beautiful, very close to the beach. It is a very nice resort but i truly recomand to visit the surroundings.

Don’t book full board

Lack of staff at lunch time can result in over an hour wait, after two days made other arrangements outside of hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful but clearly under staffed. 70 Euro per night in advance as you cannot pay in cash anywhere. 14 night stay = 14x€70 in advance. Housekeeping not 5* standard. Excellent choice of food breakfast and evening meal. All beverages with evening meal are charged for including water.

We visited this hotel as it came recommended to us and I also read the positive reviews.
The hotel itself is nice and clean. good size rooms (we stayed in the family interconnected rooms). Pools are good too. staff were mainly friendly and helpful.Kids club and pool activities were great too.
The negative is the food at this resort, which to me is a massive thing when on holidays especially when you plan to stay at the resort the entire duration of your visit with small children.
The buffet was hit and miss- one day nice and then awful. The main restaurant should be open for lunch (a la carts or buffet style) as there is Only 1 restaurant open in the day for lunch which is by the pool and the food is overpriced and not that great. My salad came out with a hair in it. The staff were apologetic and made a new salad, however after that I questioned the hygiene of the kitchen and the chef. The main restaurant doesn’t open until 7pm for dinner. which is so difficult and too late when you have small children. The kids evening activities start at 7.45pm and for us a family of 3 kids and 2 adults it was impossible to feed all 3 kids and ourselves and enjoy a glass of wine in 45mins to then have to run to a kids disco or movie night.
We wouldn’t return to this resort.

Service above and beyond

The first day of my second visit to this hotel but had to write a review as the service we have received already has been second to none.
Greeted with a welcome drink and bags safely stored away whilst the room was prepared- we arrived 3 hours before official check in time. Given everything needed to relax by the pool, with free towels, whilst we waited.
When we got to the room and the bags were delivered, we realised one bag was missing. They double checked the baggage room but it wasn’t there so we realised it must have been left in the taxi. Not only did they contact the taxi firm, after finding out what time we had got the taxi, they managed to find the driver and arrange for her to drop the bag off the next time she was in the area. When that happened the bag was delivered directly to our room. Thank you so much everyone involved for being so lovely and helpful and reuniting my son with his bag.
