How to Get There
Our family of 4 have just had a great week at this hotel. On arriving we were checked in quickly with welcome drinks by helpful staff, and able to get a late night bite to eat.
The weather was hot, the pools are lovely. The drinks are great. The food was delicious, plentiful and varied. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss. The teenager club was great, never saw much of my 10 year old but my 7 year old was not interested in the activities for him and to be honest I never saw much going on. Each day the young lad who ran the teenager club came to get my 10 year old son involved, by telling him what was on and where. This was great.
The evening entertainment was good from my point of view, magicians, acrobatics, dance, very BGT, but my kids got bored of this. We all loved the Mr Liberty night, hilarious! Well done who ever thought of this.
All the staff here work hard, and are polite and welcoming, they are what make this hotel. The lobby area of this hotel has a wow factor, and is stunning to walk into but our room was a total disappointment.
This is my only negative about the holiday and it is probably TUI that are to blame? The room we had for the 4 of us was a large double, it’s not a family room, and frankly it’s uncomfortable for 4. There was not enough space to put clothes, I lived out of my suitcase as there was not enough space to hang clothes for 4. The wardrobes are tiny, with shelf space required. I heard people in reception complaining and arguing about the room allocated. The hotel were correct in saying that is what was booked. We were aware it was only a large double when booking, and thought we would manage for a week but we needed more space having done it. The other thing about the room is the beds. I have never slept so badly on holiday in my life. The walls are paper thin, the child to our left woke at 6am each morning and we could hear every word that family said. We got in late each night, so probably disturbed them to. The beds are rock hard. The pillows are awful, cheap fibre pillows which have seen better days. The sofa bed was terrible as well, my son never stopped whining about it. Last year we stayed at a 4 star tui family life hotel and the standard of comfort in that room was far superior to this, I don’t know if we were spoilt, as they had a pillow menu! We all had terrible neck and back pain from the beds and pillows at the Liberty, not what I would have expected for a 5 star. I know it’s a little thing but a good nights sleep whilst away is important.
All in all a great week. Thanks Liberty staff.
Well where do I start? Had a fantastic 7 days in this fabulous hotel. Everything from check in, room service, the whole all inclusive package was absolutely perfect. So many staff always go above and beyond to help you with your needs and requests.
Special mention for guest relations member Mustafa who was amazing friendly, along with the other female guest relations member of staff (sorry I didn’t get her name).
Only criticism (which is in no way related to hotel) is do not book any excursions or trips with TUI rep within the hotel as TUI quote overly extortionate prices, compared to what the reps outside of hotel offer you. Again, this is no fault of the TUI reps themselves and purely the blame lies with TUI themselves.
We just got back from a weeks holiday. It was our first time in Turkey. My children (5,11) had the best time. The pool is so nice and big they had great fun. The enteraintainment on some nights was absolutely outstanding, ie the Cirque de Cuba. I loved that there were life guards around keeping the kids safe. The food choice at every meal was so varied and changed each time. It was all of high quality too especially at the Al a Carter restaurants. The entertainment team was fab, never pushy though which I really liked. Every staff member was always so helpful and went above and beyond at every occasion. Thanks for letting us make wonderful memories 😊👏🏽
We have had an amazing week. Myself and my partner came, having been to Lara beach 4 times before, Liberty Lara exceeded all other hotels. Firstly the entertainment is next level. There are activities going on from 10am until 12 midnight. Something for everyone but no pressure to join in if you just want to watch. (Special mention to Mert as he is so funny and very sociable).
We ate at 3 a la cartes - the Italian, the Chinese and the fish restaurant on the pier which is only once a week. We loved the Italian and the fish restaurant and the Chinese was still very good but we preferred the other 2.
The cleanliness of the hotel is brilliant, the pool side is always kept tidy throughout the day and the pubic toilets are spotless. There is a waiter on roller skates to serve you drinks to your sunbed.
The lunches are very good also, there is choice of burgers, pizzas, fried chicken, fajitas. Or the pasta house. Or you can of course eat in the buffet but we didn’t feel the need to do this as there so much else to choose from.
The buffet is great with lots of options, however the breakfasts haven’t got any bacon or pork sausages, that will be my only criticism. Other hotels on the beach do have bacon just with a photo so that people who don’t want to eat it are aware of it.
We didn’t fly until 11.15pm so had asked for a late checkout, but reception had said on the morning that we couldn’t have it as they needed our room. This was unfortunate as we didn’t leave the hotel until 8pm and the hotel certainly didn’t seem full.
It was brilliant for Mustafa (head of guest relations) to wander around throughout the day and evening to check how your stay was.
We’ll definitely be back, especially for the entertainment!!!
We have stayed in Turkey twice previously, once just down the road in the Titanic and had a great time on each of those visits. We found this holiday extremely disappointing though. The hotel itself is very run down and the service hit and miss. This is the first holiday where I haven't had to worry too much about tipping as it was practically self service for large parts of the week. The entertainment wasn't great and I spent the whole time on edge as hotel staff (some easily aged in there 30's) chatted up my 17 year old daughter. I'd take the reviews with a pinch of salt. Probably the 2nd worst hotel I've stayed in, in terms of the hotel itself and the worst in terms of service.
