How to Get There
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Friendly people who could assist us with any questions, etc. The room was beautiful. We hosted a luncheon in the Los Almendros restaurant that went perfectly. Will definitely stay there again whenever in Merida, Yucatan. High recommend this hotel.
Excellent service, very clean, great food. Convenient location walking distance to everything one would need. Shopping restaurants, etc. Would highly recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, good for families or couples wanting a romantic getaway in Old Mexico
We enjoyed to a degree our 4 days at the Fiesta Americana. the staff was great and the location is fine for getting to things of interest..however on the 3rd day we got sick from the food and we avoided the water so it had to be something we ate.. we did eat some salads and had been warned about eating fresh veggies so perhaps that was our mistake but it was a disappointment.. 3 days of sort of fasting and lots of pete bismol and charcoal and we are ok and it made us miss some things because our energy was diverted to say the least
I stayed for 5 nights, The lunch, dinner and breakfast buffets where beyond expectation for variety, quality and preparation. Beds where comfortable and my room was clean.
The rain head shower was a bit awkward. Some staff spoke no English making it difficult to communicate. As well, there was no guest services guide in the rooms. When I asked at the front desk about services , they couldn't answer my questions. If these problems does't bother you, I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, dining, location, and friendliness of staff
We visited Merida for a month, reserving an Airbnb, but that didn't work out, so after a week we searched for place that could accommodate us on such short notice. After several days of online searching and visiting all the hotels in the area around the Paseo de Montejo we ended up at the Fiesta Americana, and boy, are we glad that we did! We chose a junior suite, and the hotel discounted the price because we were staying for 20 nights. Included in the price, along with access to gym and pool, was breakfast and dinner in the 5th floor Fiesta Awards lounge. The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff, everyone from the front desk, concierge, security, all the way to the ladies that cleaned every day, were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, the towels were large and plentiful, the bed large and super comfortable, and even though our 2nd floor suite faced Avenue Colon and all the traffic, it was quiet. It helps that the hotel is set high above street level on top of a mall. The location was perfect for shopping or renting a car (there are 10 in the mall from which to choose), walking along the Paseo de Montejo enjoying the sights, enjoying multiple restaurants and cafes, and walking to the downtown area. The hotel is a popular place to hold conferences; there were several during our stay. Parking in the underground garage is free for guests. We highly recommend the Fiesta Americana and have no doubt we would stay there again in the future.
