How to Get There
Many reviews say this hotel is in a great location - there are much closer ones on the other side of the river! The area is very limited and a good walk from the main sites. The pool is tiny! And they don’t serve food around it or in the pleasant riverview rooftop terrace (which is next to where the ‘dipping’ pool is). Our first room, and especially the bathrooms, had a sewerage odour. More like a 3 star value hotel.
It was a nice surprise. Normally, we like to stay in a boutique hotel in a center location, but this time we tried something a bit further away. Actually, this hotel is 5 mins drive to Central location of Seville and its own neighborhood has many restaurants and fresh market.
I almost forget how comfortable a traditional hotel can be. The room was spacious with big beds. The bathroom had lots of space. I still can see the old decor but everything make sense. What I mean is sometime in a boutique hotel, things can look so pretty but not very functional. This hotel is classic and was designed for comfort.
One con was that our room was on the street side so it can be a bit noisy as Spain never sleep.
In the morning, we walked to fresh market and had breakfast for 5 euro!
We stayed a week at the Ribera and it was most enjoyable .Very Friendly and helpful staff , easy access to central Seville either by public transport or walking .Great to come home late evening and unwind on the rooftop terrace with drinks viewing the Seville skyline .Plenty of activity in Triana itself as well where there are many traditional bars and restaurants . Very good Breakfast buffet catering for all tastes including GLUTEN free !!!.Restaurant is small and stylish but not so good for Coeliacs hence 4 stars .NOt so much a rooftop swimming pool more a plunge pool .dIdn't use the Spa or gym so can't comment. The rooms were very spacious , great beds , and great bathrooms.Next time in Seville it will be my hotel of choice .The one down side is that we arrived VERy late in the Evening /early morning and Tea /Coffee making facilities in the room would have been great.Room service did bring us a flask of Hot water ...but no tea or coffee or milk .I suppose a Kettle doesn't translate !!!!!
This hotel is in a brilliant location on the edge of the old Triana district where there are many lovely traditional bars and restaurants. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was varied and delicious. I would have like real freshly made coffee though. I had a quiet comfortable room overlooking the river. This was my second visit and I would love to come again. There is also a nice relaxing rooftop terrace with a small pool.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The rooftop pool/bar/views were spectacular overlooking the river, but the pool itself is quite small. The rooms were spacious and bathroom amenities were great too. Close to many of the key attractions and shopping areas in Seville!
