How to Get There
We had 4 nights here.. our room was 3rd floor big windows and well equipped. The bed and bedding were superb slept so well. Individual quilts is a great idea. We had a grand deluxe the room was a bit smaller than I had anticipated. The only one downfall is the room was below the decking and we did find it quiet noisy yesterday afternoon. Decking has fab views of the town and was a quiet oasis. There is also a lovely courtyard to sit and relax. I had a massage which was really good. The spa area feels sparse we didn’t use it as it was too nice to be inside. Room well maintained and the bathroom was big. Reception staff superb nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely go back.
Comparing to other hotels that I stayed in the last 30 years, this hotel is my favorite for simple reasons: Friendly, helpful and professional staffs and managers. The rooms are romantics!! each has different looks and character. The bed, the bathroom and the overall ambient are of high quality.
This hotel is in a great location in the city, easily accessible to many great restaurants and the sights of the city, yet is tucked into a private location. Staff was exceptional for making reservations at excellent restaurants and service overall was top notch. We visited at a quiet time, so the hotel was not very busy.
Room and bed were very comfortable. The only complaints with the room was the lighting is very dim and the room could have used a table with chairs, making it easier to use our computers. Bed and shower were fabulous!
My husband and I checked in late on a Thursday night. The hotel is designed like a riad. We were shown several rooms before the one we had booked which were upgrades but would be required to pay for. We decided not to pay for an upgrade and just take the room we had booked as the offer at a discounted price was not sufficient even though the rooms were unoccupied.
The room was very nice with fabulous cotton sheets. The bathroom had a bath and separate shower. Hanging and cupboard space was very limited but adequate. I could not find a full length mirror. House keeping changed my husbands pillows.
We chose not to have breakfast in the hotel as this was served in a small room in the basement at over 20 euros extra per person per day.
The staff were absolutely delightful. Lucie and Alicia made us most welcome. They made our dinner reservations in advance of our visit.
However, the manager, Martine never once asked us how we were. She did not introduce herself to us and certainly didn’t go the extra mile to make us feel welcome even when she was standing more or less next to us.
Would I recommend this hotel. Yes for position and efficiency. However the hotel lacked warmth and the extra charm I would look for. No wow factor.
From start to finish our stay was a truly 5 star and special experience. What a beautiful hotel. Calm, tranquil and oozing class, quality and luxury. Just the most gorgeous place to stay. Service from all staff was outstanding. To make you feel special and not be too intrusive is a fine art and they did it to the highest levels.
Thanks you all so much for making my 50th birthday weekend away so special. I cannot think of a more perfect way it could have been spent
