How to Get There
A lovely boutique hotel situated within 15 mins walk to the centre. The main entrance is impressive and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived The reception staff are very helpful and their advise to book tickets for the main attractions in advance to skip the long queues was much appreciated.
The hotel staff were very friendly and keen to please. We stayed in room 141 which was lovely, very spacious - the downside is you can hear voices late at night from the guests below in the courtyard which is lovely spot to relax and enjoy a drink. A good selection of continental breakfast buffet style and cooked breakfast is available. We ate dinner at the hotel one evening the food was okay but the service from the serving staff needs more training. We enjoyed our short stay here and would return if we travel back to glorious Seville
The staff was very service minded including booking of restaurants during our stay in a busy week just before Easter. The hotel is located in a quite area but still very close to the old town of Seville.
Just finished an amazing break in Seville. This hotel was well positioned to do everything. Just far enough from the centre to chill and relax and within 10-15 minutes walk to explore everything. Rooms, we opted for grand deluxe, were good sized, very comfortable bed and kept immaculately clean. Staff were amazing, so help and wanted to do everything to make sure we enjoyed Seville. Special thanks to Lara for all her help booking my wife's birthday dinner and always being on hand to help with a smile. Great courtyard to relax in, good for evening drinks. Roof terrace has good quality sun loungers and a small dip pool to wind away the heat of the day or relax after a day discovering. Food quality was good. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel for a short stay in Seville. As for Seville itself, it is a simply beautiful, friendly and exciting city to explore - surpassed all expectations.
If we could say Good, we would, but the rating jumps from Average to Very Good. Not sensible! Impressive upon arrival and all the staff were very friendly, engaging and informative. The public spaces are well maintained and look good. The open air entrance courtyard was particularly impressive as we arrived under a full moon. Our room, 141, was spacious and well appointed. There was noise from the courtyard bar on one particular evening, which we suspect would be an issue for many of the rooms as these overlook what is an attractive place to sit and enjoy a drink on a warm evening. We thought breakfast, whilst reasonable, overpriced. We dined in the hotel one evening and had an enjoyable, if not outstanding meal. We would not rule out staying here again.
From the moment your car drops you at the front door (and in spite of the tiny, narrow roads of old Seville), you'll know you're in a special place. The homes here have beautiful wooden doors leading to courtyards. This hotel was a palace painstakingly restored over three years...with a wing added...into a boutique hotel. The courtyard is open air (though they will extend a cover over the roof which is about 30 feet overhead during rains) and features live plants and trees. You'll note beautiful old tile and woodwork as you're welcomed into the reception area and seated for a short introduction to the property and its amenities.
Do try and reserve a Grand Deluxe Room if possible. Ours overlooked a larger open air courtyard which features several very comfortable, very tropical seating areas...with an adjacent small bar just inside the lobby.
The room has a comfortable seating area, a medium-sized closet and small refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. But the bathroom was the best feature. Separate commode and bidet, double vanity and an amazing, modern, multi-headed shower and just beyond that a hydrotherapy tub which my wife used after a long day of walking through Seville.
The staff is kind, gracious and obviously well-educated in hospitality.
The only negative was the breakfast. Served what was once the wine cellar, the intimate restaurant is comfortable and well lit. The service was also also good. But the food (even the made to order) was frankly, bland and the coffee was made on a Nespresso-type machine (not hand-crafted). Yet, this was a minor issue and certainly not impactful to our stay.
On departure, the staff completed a quick checkout, retrieved a cab into which they loaded our bags and bid us farewell.
Would definitely return to this special property.
