How to Get There
Very good hotel. good cleaniless. good location near metro station and is located near the amsterdam arena, the heineken music hall and ikea shop. very good breakfast good choose for big group or families
The hotel is located in between Dam Sqaure & Airport - well connected & beautifully located - rooms are very good & services are excellent - room rates of 75 Euro per night for double room are very reasonable when you compare the rates of good hotel in Europe - if you have a car then traveling becomes very easy in main town
Spent 2 nights here recently . Rooms are cosy bed was comfortable, Reception staff are very formal , About 5 minute walk to train station and then 15 minutes to city centre . Woken up before 8am every morning to the loud noise of a demolition company knocking down a big building only yards from the hotel . My room was right beside it and looks like they only started it too . noise is deafening . No word about it from Hotel or ebookers . Huge let down if i had of known this i would of booked elsewhere to be honest . Complained to hotel and they just said we cant control what happens outside ? .
It was a really cheap deal, so I cannot complain much but it was not a nice experience at all.
restaurant was closed, bed wasn't comfy and staff was also not very forward coming or helpful.
+ it is really far out
I used this hotel for my honeymoon and put 280 pounds (wedding presents) in the hotel room safe. After I came back from our day out the safe had been open using the overide code and my money had been stolen. I felt I had been violated and our honeymoon had been ruined.
In regards the room itself, it was plain but functional however the bathroom is a frosted glass box. Make sure you are comfortable with the person you are traveling with because there is no privacy.
We ate in the restaurant twice. Both times the food was good and the potion sizes were excellent we did not need the extra bread that we ordered. It was prices were comparable to the rest of Amsterdam.
The gym was a joke. It was a tiny back room with a bike, a treadmill, a lat pull dawn and some free weights. It was more like someone's home gym than a hotel's luxury gym with a view onto the car park.
