Excellent hotel, great facilities.. great location

The title of my review says it all...it is a great hotel very close to the Amsterdam Central Train station (6 minutes walk through the river side) and the NEMO science museum.. Check in was very smooth..Rooms were spacious and clean..Hotel provides
free shuttle service to the Central Station every half an hour. The person in-charge at the concierge gave a very good idea about the places to be visited and the means of transportation. The breakfast provided was good.Rooms were free from noise.

Almost Perfect

Stayed here last week with my husband as we came to Amsterdam for a long weekend. The hotel was very modern, staff were so friendly & helpful.

Distance from the town centre was a 6 minute walk but there was a shuttle bus from the hotel every 30mins for free.

We didn't eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on food, though we did have drinks in the bar & everything was very clean and tidy.

Our only negative was although we had fully paid for the hotel stay, we had to pay €50 deposit per night on arrival & we were unaware of this, so in our case that was €150 upfront & then stuck with €150 cash on check out as we were going home that we could have used over the weekend =/

Otherwise lovely hotel & brilliant location with lovely views.

Great hotel

Spent 3 nights and the hotel is really good. Clean room, diverse breakfast, amazing view over the city and friendly staff. The hotel is close by Amsterdam’s city center, about 7 min walk. Room was equipped with everything needed and really enjoyed the coffee capsules in the room

Extremely nice and amazing location

We stayed here for 7 nights and truly enjoyed ourselves. We got the executive upgrade that includes breakfast along with access to the lounge and couldn’t have been happier. Our view from the 20th floor was breathtaking.
When we arrived somewhat earlier than usual check in, we were still checked in straight away. Every staff member was very kind and professional. Highly impressive.
When we got to our room we noticed there was some trash and part of the bed wasn’t made. Also a bathroom towel was used. We called to make sure we had the right room and they confirmed we did. They asked if we wanted the room to be cleaned again, but we really just wanted to make sure it was our room. Regardless, 3 staff members showed up at our door to look into the issue. What I think happened is someone was thought to have checked out, but went back after cleaning since they are able to do late check out with the upgraded packages.
Through our stay we got turn down service (other than our last night for some reason) and it was amazing. It just seems like maybe there is a disconnect between the cleaning staff and the help desk staff. Sometimes our room was cleaned early and sometimes at like 4pm. Not really complaining, just no consistency, it was Just unpredictable. I will say, anytime we called the desk about something it was taken care of ASAP.
During our stay we ordered room service twice and ate at the bar downstairs for dinner once, all of the food was great, as was the service.
Overall the room was clean through our stay, and the bathroom floors are heated!! The room and bathroom are modern and we had robes and slippers as well. Very nice!
We literally walked downtown every day. That was great. Location here was perfect! You can see the train station from the hotel and you can see the hotel from almost anyplace downtown.
I booked a tour through concierge and it really seemed like I was a huge inconvenience to this man. He was never overtly rude but continually reminded me and those around him how busy he was. It was unpleasant to deal with him. I would refrain from booking anything through the hotel and just go to the company directly.
The gym was alright. It had enough equipment to hold you over and was never really crowded. The sauna was insane! 2 different saunas, and ice room, a foot cleaning area. Just wow! We went daily. The gym and spa are open from about 0600 to midnight, however anytime outside of gym hours you are able to use the facilities. You just go ask the desk. It is extremely convenient.
The executive lounge was such a treat. They had a “snack time” in the afternoon with free wine and beer. Throughout the day they offered unlimited waters, sodas, and coffee! We really took advantage of this and absolutely loved this lounge!
Check out was a breeze but I never did see the “special check in/check out desk” for the executive rooms.
Overall, this is an upscale well run hotel in a great location. When we come back we WILL be staying here. Highly recommend this hotel as you can’t go wrong. To have such minute issues over an 8 day/ 7 night period is unheard of! We were treated like royalty and can’t wait to come back here to visit beautiful Amsterdam again and stay at this luxury hotel.

Nice hotel in great location

The hotel is fairly new and the view from the room was nice, over looking either some water/ Harbour scene or the city district.

Reception was friendly and well organized (although we didn’t check in during peak hour)

Parking is in a spacious car park 5 min walk - where the hotel offers a flat rate of 10€/24h you leave your car there.

Since finding a car park is a nightmare in Amsterdam (spot wise and financially) and public transport is very well organized- there’s hardly any reason to use the anyways.

The city is easily accessible by foot
10min to the central train station and 20 min to the beginning of the city center.

We enjoyed our stay very much!
