Great little hotel

Stayed here with my sister and brother for a weekend visit to Amsterdam. We had the 3 person room and it was perfect. Big enough for 3 adults, comfy beds and everything was spotless. We had no problems with noise contrary to previous reviews. The staff in the hotel were really lovely and helpful. Location is amazing as you can walk pretty much everywhere from there. All in all a great stay and would definitely go back

A great option when you want to stay downtown

I recommend this hotel for people who want to stay downtown and experience a good room with very friendly staff. Everyone at the front desk was attentive, especially Navid who helped to make my stay even better. Thank you all very much!

location location location (and cheap--relatively)

Amsterdam is a great city for walking (and cycling) but not if you start in the middle of nowhere. This hotel is a short walk to the Amstel and less than a mile from everything else you will want to see. By that I mean the old town, the Rijksmuseum, and Royal Palace (with various sights on the way to these).

The place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. If I'm not going to get a view (and in Amsterdam I can't afford one) that's all I care about. The hotel is a true bargain if you are traveling with friends and get a room with three or four beds. Otherwise it's less expensive than many places with much worse locations, and is the most reasonable hotel I could find that is well-located.

It has a restaurant but I didn't try it. Amsterdam has lots of restaurants, some with canal views, some with exotic cuisine (notably Indonesian) and those are where I eat.

The staff will gladly tell you how to get there from the airport but I recommend you just take one of the airport hotel shuttles. It is a bit slow (you have to wait for the bus to fill up, and if you're unlucky like me you'll always be the last one off) but an hour should do it and it only costs 18.5 euros. I suggest learning about public transportation for the trip back to the airport because the shuttle isn't available for that and a taxi can run 50 euros. The hotel is quite close to the train station and all public transportation.
