How to Get There
Decided to stay here the night as my connecting flight was cancelled. Arrived at the front desk about 11pm. The staff where rude and abrupt and not welcoming at all. I spent nearly £300 for the night so considering how expensive the rooms are I would expect high quality service! Honestly, you get better treatment saying in a budget hotel!
I stopped her because it was convenient for me the next morning to catch my flight but I would not stay here again if I was coming back for a holiday. Not worth the money.
Provided a comfortable base to stay in Amsterdam. A short walk outside the main tourist area, which gives it a more relax feel. The gym is actually separate fitness centre - which has limited opening hours on the weekend.
Breakfast was great.
The welcoming staff and peaceful environment were a wonderful base for visiting Amsterdam. It is only a few blocks from the trains that access the entire city, and away from the noise and hubbub of the city center. The concierge staff treated us like family, and always had cheerful greetings and helpful tips for our visit.
A very nice property with canal views and good access to the Museum District. Upgrading to Executive Level is a good value if one takes advantage of the breakfast and afternoon happy hour for drinks and snacks.
This hotel has an exciting history and you still feel some kind of energy from the past. We are met by a proper desk and the room a very nice one. Good view, good shower, fast internet, and everything else you can imagine. BUT all five star hotels should have a bottle of water for their guests. The mini bar was locked. We called down and they tried in vain to open. But they couldn't. Very annoying - very thirsty - at 4 am at night. The next day, there comes a very nice service man. He allegedly fixes the problem, but it repeats the same night. The mini bar is closed. Irriternede. Breakfast is very nice and good service from the lady in high heels. Definitely a good hotel but lacks the last fingerspitz-gefuhl.
