This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quite yet close enough to walk to museums. We enjoy walking and it was such a nice walk and easy to get to just about anywhere. The staff could not be any better so helpful, professional and go and extra step to help and make suggestions to enhance one's stay.

Incredible City Hotel Away from the Hoards

I spend 6 wonderful nights at the Hilton Amsterdam at the end of July. The weather ran the gamut, from dreary and rain to the biggest heat wave in decades. Returning from our daily exursions into and around the city was one of the highlights of our day. The hotel is perfectly located, especially if you are not particularly interested in spending your days walking around and with the hoards of tourists that occupy the centre of the city. The neighbourhood is amazing; full of excellent restaurants and shopping. A short walk from Vondel Park, the hotel is located on a canal and has the most serene outdoor patio/terraced seating area. There is a full service bar and food menu outside. My wife and kids spent some time every evening enjoying the quiet, placid atmosphere while enjoying some fantastic gin & tonics.

The breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend you opt for confirming a room rate that includes the breakfast. The servers are eminently efficient and kind, you can order eggs to spec from the kitchen at no extra cost, and the food in the buffet was always fresh and constantly replenished.

We stayed in a connecting 'Family Suite', which was spacious and comfortable. The air-conditioning was powerful and quiet. Even during the heat wave, the AC worked beautifully. The beds were extremely comfortable. The only request I would have is for the hotel to catch up and start offering gel memory foam pillows.

The hotel has an agreement with a full service fitness facility that is connected to the main building. It's everything you need to stay in shape. And the fitness experts on site are wonderful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

business stay- look no further- anything else- carry on looking

2cents review- excellent hotel for an overnight business trip, but lacking in facilities for a young couple/family.
Breakfast slightly on the lighter side for a 5* restaurant.
Nearest tram 5 min walk.
