The Lowdown

If you like your lodgings chic and central, then it’s hard to beat Hampshire Hotel – Eden Amsterdam. Situated on the famous Amstel River, this perfectly located gem puts you a stone’s throw away from Rembrandt Square and near the labyrinth of medieval alleyways that make up the Red Light District, easily the world’s most illustrious hub of hedonistic activity.
From this prime address in the city’s cultural heart, you’ll easily be able to fill your days admiring more than 200 treasured works of art by celebrated Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, checking out the rose garden at Vondelpark, visiting the Anne Frank House and hitting the bicycle-crazed streets for quirky one-off shops, hip cafés and centuries-old canals.
And now, for the “chic” bit. This hip hotel scores high marks for its non-showy design. Style-seekers will be wowed by the artsy guest rooms, with their oversized headboards adorned with dazzling tulip imagery, while stylish bathrooms keep everything fabulously mod.Things are just as perfect on the food-and-drinks front. The Parisian-inspired Brasserie FLO serves up delicious French fare, while Bar 36 Black is the place for evening cocktails and jazz.

All-day dining is a Parisian-style affair at Brasserie FLO, an elegant space that showcases classic French cooking with a contemporary twist. For a more laid-back vibe, Bar 36 Black is open from 3pm to 1am for cold beers, cocktails, wine, appetizers and late-night jazz music. The buffet breakfast is especially worth getting out of bed for; expect a generous spread of freshly baked bread rolls, croissants, Dutch cheeses, fresh fruit, juices, tea and coffee, and much more. Alternatively, if you feel like grabbing something on the go, cold drinks and snacks are available from the vending machines in the lobby.

Location

Set on the banks of the Amstel River and just a stone’s throw from Rembrandt Square, the hotel makes it easy to enjoy all the delights the Dutch capital has to offer. Beyond gazing at 200-year-old canals, must-dos include checking out the rose garden at Vondelpark, visiting the Anne Frank House and overdosing on artsy masterpieces at Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum. Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms.
We stayed there for 4 nights, booked an executive room which had a breath taking view on the Amstel river, fairly spacious room considering average room space in Amsterdam.
Located just a few steps away from Rembrandt square & all the things it has to offer from public transportations to restaurants, pubs & clubs.
I highly recommend Eden hotels for your next trip to Amsterdam.
The photo shows the view I used to woke to every morning, simply worth it.

Cheers.

Great Location near Rembrandt Square

Was very surprised at the quality of the hotel. Right across the canal from the Opera House, this hotel is centrally located in a very active area of the city. Walking distance to the Museums and Downtown.

Small room, but clean, friendly, good price, and great location. Recommended

Very nice staff, good housekeeping, everything worked! The location was really nice. Very few of the rooms have views, so don’t expect to be looking out at a canal. I only used the room for resting/reading and sleeping, so the narrow brick wall view was not a big deal. It let in some natural light at least.

Eden Hotel @ Amsterdam has a wonderful great location where is the center of the city. Everything is accessible, it’s a walking distance and a nearby shopping center’s along with a perfect view of a lake. The hotel has a comfortable room and the property is fully renovated.
The staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. I’ve no issues with checking in/out everything went smoothly likewise the services was so fast. I’d highly recommend that this hotel can be for business/leisure experience as they’re having a fancy ambience of fine dining restaurant.
A special thanks to the General Manager – Mr. Sebastian for your warm hospitality. Kudos to you and your staff for making my stay memorable one - I will definitely be staying with the Eden Hotel Amsterdam again.

Top customer service from all staff my first visit to amsterdam which was amazing. Just wish we had known the eden hotel and the rebrant had joined as one and we would have found it easier! Just take the tram to rembrant square. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff which was so helpful to a first time visitor to amsterdam .
