How to Get There
We were given an incredibly small room. Number 509, in the attic. At checkout we were told "If you would have told us, we may had been able to give you a larger one". Argh!!! Noisy at night from passers by. Very good location.
the hotel is in a convenient location that is easy to get to/from. however, the service at this hotel was poor, to say the least. first off, no one told us that breakfast was included with our room until we checked out. the staff at the front desk always seemed preoccupied with something on their computer and were bothered to have to assist the guests. we tried renting bikes, and even though there were several outside, the woman at the front desk told us they were all broken so we could not use them. you’d think that one would suggest another place to rent a bike, but no. we had to then ask where we might find a bike rental in order to get assistance to get bikes. it was just an overall experience i wouldn’t suggest to anyone that is looking for a hotel that is helpful to tourists visiting amsterdam.
the room itself was a decent size and was well taken care of. the housekeeping staff was helpful when we were looking for an iron and ironing board. the bar has a small menu of beer/wine and snacks that is fine if you’re looking for a quick something.
Hotel is in a decent and handy location. The area has a nice (and safe) vibe to it. Reception very lacking in hospitality. Poor slow check in and tetchy check out.
Room was adequate but public areas are very inspiring.
