How to Get There
First visit to Amsterdam wonderful experience at Forest Hotel. Good quiet location outside the main town which is easily accessible by bus situated 2 minute walk from the hotel. Staff members were pleasant special thank you to Marc & Sanne for their good advice & willingness to help to attend to our needs.
A good choice of food was offered at breakfast.
The bedroom was a reasonal size clean & modern comfortable bed.
Definitely recommend this hotel

When we checked in the room was filthy, there was hair in the bathroom, it was extremely dusty, and worst of all, there was blood on one of the pillows and duvets. The blood pattern spread from the pillow to the duvet so it was obvious that the bedding hadn't been changed. We complained and were eventually moved to another room. This was equally grubby but at least the sheets were clean. The air conditioning failed on the second night and the room was uncomfortably hot. It was eventually fixed, but not before we had to make several trips to reception (the room phone was also not working). The staff were ambivalent and inept, with one exception, a lovely woman who did seem to care. We asked to see the manager three times, but at each were told that they were not available. We would have left on that first night if we hadn't already paid. All in all a thoroughly bad experience.
We had the deluxe room.
It looked a bit better in the photos.
For me it was actually more of a standard room.
But the room was ok, clean.
The staff was very helpful.
The breakfast was "small but nice". You had choice.
I often go on city tours for my birthday.
Some hotels do the "work" to pay attention to such data.
I do not need that, but I find it very attentive.
Unfortunately this was not the case in this hotel.
The room TV has barely reasonable German programs stored.
Anyway, I have hardly found anything by searching.
To Amsterdam you drive by bus about 25 minutes.
Bus ticket 2.50 € (Station Kalvjeslaan, Amstelveen)
This Hotel is very modern and comfortable. We stayed there for 2 Night, 1 with Breakfast, 1 without, the Breakfast was really good, you find something for everyone, a big buffet. The rooms are big with a large Bed, a modern Bath with a grand Shower, Hairdryer and Showergel. There is also a Coffee Mashine and a Safe in the Room. You get to Amsterdam City with the Bus, the Busstation is just above the Street, in 20 Minutes you are in the City.
Very stiff people who like to look professional but are in fact penny collectors
Never again never again never again
Book 2 months in advance for one night , made a mistake with the booking, try to contact the manager but they just got my money and say , your problem, bunch of penny pickers!
