How to Get There
If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay that is right on the beach, I recommend the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge on Amelia Island. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, and feature beautiful ocean views. The rate includes breakfast. The buffet offers a good selection, and they also cook omlettes, eggs and pancakes to order. Service is friendly and prompt. There is a nice porch with rocking chairs, and a private beach with umbrellas. Please note that the property does not have a pool. There is a code you have to use to operate the elevator from the street level, which is a nice safety feature, however, a bit cumbersome. The property also has a stand alone additional building offering ocean view, and ocean front suites that are lavishly furnished, and have huge verandas for relaxing or entertaining. The Elizabeth Pointe Lodge overall is a very nice, well run property, with a distinct “ New England” feel to it.
This property is easy to get to from main highways. The inn itself is well appointed with a dedicated staff to make sure all of your needs are met. Lots of room for parking and easy access to the main elevator for getting luggage to your room.
The beach is spectacular. This beautiful stretch of glorious beach is definitely old Florida. Sand dunes and wild oat grass abound.
The food is excellent and each afternoon guests gather to enjoy finger sandwiches and complimentary wine and beer. Couldn’t ask for a more delightful afternoon.
Each morning the beach staff arrange lounge chairs and umbrellas for guests to enjoy the pristine beach. Wonderful, stress free stay at this lovely inn. Beach towels and chilled bottled water are always available for quests.
The rooms are very clean and the decor elicits the charm of a by-gone era. We loved our stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge and highly recommend to those who enjoy nice things.
Our visit to the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so attentive and accommodating. Everything we could ask for was provided. One of the workers even brought us blankets so we would be comfortable sitting on the deck when the weather got a little windy in the evening. The food was very fresh and delicious. Kudos to the new executive chef. Our room in the Beach Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The path to the beach is very convenient and there are chairs and umbrellas for guest to use. We have been to many Bed and Breakfast Inns and Elizabeth Pointe is honestly one of the best we have ever stayed at. We plan to return soon.
After eight years of marriage, my wife and I were finally able to have a honeymoon. As I researched numerous places to stay in Florida, Elizabeth Point ended up being our first choice. Our room, the breezes, was beautiful, roomy, and extremely clean. The only negative for this room is there is no ocean view, which I was aware of. The beach though, is just a few steps away. The main building is very well kept and food in the restaurant there was very good. The staff overall, was very nice and willing to make dinner reservations, or tours reservations for us. I have to say that their restaurant recommendations were top notch. We would definitely stay here again. One last note...Stephanie, you were great and represent Elizabeth Point, very well.
This was my second stay and my husband's first . The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The staff hardworking, but very relaxed and friendly. Although my husband and I don't eat breakfast, the breakfast looked lovely and the coffee was divine.
