Clinging to a hillside that overlooks the azure Bay of Salerno, and surrounded by scented lemon groves, Hotel Raito is a heavenly slice of Amalfi with a glamorous Riviera appeal. Bright and spacious bedrooms offer stunning views of the breathtaking coastline and bay, while around the hotel you’ll find plenty of spots to soak up the surroundings. For starters, try the two outdoor pools with sun terraces and elegant outdoor restaurant with panoramic vistas.
You’ll feel blissful after a pampering session in the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner’s ExPure Spa, with its heated indoor pool, sauna, wealth of massage treatments and more. If you fancy a break from utter relaxation, the hotel is well-placed for exploring the beautiful Amalfi coast and its many highlights. They are spacious, flooded with light through French windows and furnished in an elegant and modern décor.
There are a couple of dining options at Hotel Raito, the most impressive being the spectacular à la carte Il Golfo Ristorante. This is one of the most renowned restaurants on the Amalfi Coast and certainly one of the most beautiful, with its wide, panoramic terrace overlooking the bay.
The hotel’s ExPure spa is a well-equipped sanctuary of beauty and wellness, featuring a heated indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath. A range of treatments can be enjoyed inside the spa or al fresco on the private terrace, with to-die-for panoramic sea views.

How to Get There
Had an amazing time at the hotel- the concierge staff were amazing!! They really went out of their way to organise the various events for us and accomodate our needs !! Esp Mr Luigi and Mr Alessandro. The waiters and other staff were most friendly too. Loved every min of
Our stay there !!!
Thank you Riato hotel for making our stay super memorable!!
This hotel has some amazing views overlooking Solerno. The hotel also has a shuttle aervice that takes guests into Vietre sul Mare which is nice when you want to get to try local eateries, check out local handicrafts and see village life in action whether it be the village of Riato or Bietri sul Mare. Only challenge is given that it is in a relatively remote, you will need to think about and plan trips from there to other parts (ie transport). Only issue we found was that wifi was a bit unstable. Staff, in particular Luigi and Allesandro were amazing in helping us with tour options and dining recommendarions. Many thanks.
This stay was hugely disappointing and below the expected standard of a hotel recognized to provide 5 star accommodation and service. Our first setback arose when we rang the hotel from Vietri and requested the “shuttle bus” advertised on our booking details come pick us up. I was told by phone to go back to where I was dropped off this morning. I reiterated again I was a new guest and had no idea where the shuttle point was. I was then put on hold and told to wait for a colleague who then came onto the phone and directed me to wait, after a long day of traveling, by “the mermaid” in Vietri for 40 minutes in 30 degrees heat! Would it have really been that difficult to send the shuttle bus to collect my friend and I? It’s significant to add the drive takes less than FOUR minutes but due to the steep incline on which the hotel is set it would take forty minutes for us to walk which we couldn’t attempt with all of our luggage.
Upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted in a mediocre manner. The layout of our room was satisfying with an excellent rainfall shower and lovely amenities in the bathroom. There was a generously sized balcony with a stunning view of Vietri and Salerno bay. However, there were no tea/ coffee facilities, no ironing equipment and the mini bar was extortionately priced. Room service comes at a service fee of €10. Food in the restaurant was exceptional, the lobster linguini was amazing and the waiters were friendly. It’s important to note the pool does not open until 10am and closes at 6pm. This is mentioned nowhere in booking details. It wouldn’t be such a big problem if the hotel were nearer to the town or even provided some form of entertainment instead of just a restaurant once the pool closes. On our final night we headed to reception to book a shuttle, the shuttle must be booked in advance and only ran four times to Vietri. We were told the shuttle was fully booked and we would have to get a taxi ourselves. I must add the shuttle takes eight people.. expected to accommodate a hotel housing 76 rooms? I find this outrageous and ridiculous. Nowhere in the booking details does it state these requirements in relation to the shuttle which is advertised as “free shuttle bus”. Finally to add insult to the injury, upon checking out not once were we asked by the receptionist on duty how our stay was or if there were any problems. We did not want to complain about the shuttle, food prices or pool times as the receptionist was so cold and essentially rude upon checkout. We left the hotel without a single goodbye or thank you for your stay from the two receptionists behind the desk. This is recognized as a five star hotel and we paid big prices for an extremely disappointing service. Please be advised when considering to make a booking at this hotel.
What an unbelievable view from the restaurant, bar and lounge area. If there is better please tell me. Food is excellent. Service is real 5 star with lovely white table clothes and all the rest. The location does not attract the crazy crowds of Amalfi and Positana and that is a huge advantage. A free shuttle bus to the local town is great and makes getting out easy. Very authentic Italian experience is there in the town if you look around. A 1 hour ferry to Positano from Salerno which is 30 minutes in a taxi. If you are visiting Amalfi coast this hotel is a great place to base yourself for 5 days. View also from the pool area.
This is the perfect hotel for a quiet getaway on the Amalfi Coast. Spectacular views, food was outstanding and away from the chaos. Staff was very helpful. Recommended an outstanding restaurant in the hills that was in the middle of a lemon grove. Secured transportation for us to the train station. Rooms are charming and clean. We will be back!
