How to Get There
The hotel is nice and the view is amazing! The staff at the front desk is incredibly kind and called us the shuttle to the pedestrian area even when it wasn’t the designated time. This made a huge difference in our experience as the walk into town is about ten minutes going up steep steps or a steep uphill road. The man at the front desk even offered to drive us down to amalfi at the end of his shift!
However, the breakfast is lacking. There was an egg shell in the scrambled eggs. A couple more options would have made a huge difference. Also, our room had a bathroom that looked straight out of the hospital. The toilet was bizarre and so high it was uncomfortable with a toilet seat that clearly does not fit. The shower door did nothing to prevent water going all over the floor. For the price the hotel should improve the bathroom, at least in this room. Worst of all. The bathroom light is motion sensor. Which meant that when you were in the shower it would go dark. Terrifying and unsafe.
But the front desk was above and beyond and the views from the pool are amazing!
We stayed at Villa Piedimonte with friends - what a great location. Hotel facilities are excellent, modern and spotless. Bedrooms (jnr suite) were spacious and bathrooms also. Breakfasts were also excellent. But I have to mention the staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful, sorted out lost baggage woes, ran us to town, and a real asset. Thanks for a great stay.
Would come back to Ravello just because of this hotel. I spend ~ 80 nights on hotels per year and this hotel exceeded my high expectations, fantastic location, clean and harmonious rooms.the breakfast is really good, fresh fruit (not canned) local yogurt.
