Beautiful Hotel and Amazing Service
Reviewed 3 days ago

My wife and I stayed at the Punta Regina for two nights. We have rarely experienced the level of service we received. We had phenomenal views from our hotel room and the staff catered to all of our needs. It’s a quick 15-20 minute walk to the beach and away enough from town center to have some peace and quiet.

What really stood out was how the staff handled an issue we had coming in. Initially, we had booked a room in the “separate building” through Booking.com. It was advertised as a short walk to the hotel where breakfast and hotel amenities are located. It was a guest house which actually was a 15-20 minute walk to the hotel to access amenities. While it was a beautiful guest house, we were not okay with a 15 minute walk to the hotel to use its amenities. We then spoke with the manager about our concerns. She was extremely helpful and offered to put us into one of their suites at the hotel instead for the two nights that were available at the hotel and then was okay with us leaving two nights earlier than originally reserved to another hotel which had space. Other hotels may have forced us to stay at the guest house or lose all of our money but Hotel Punta Regina did not. They were focused on our happiness. Props to demonstrated excellent service on that front.

All-in-all, we highly recommend staying at this hotel. If you’re looking for a more home-like experience, book the separate room, otherwise book the hotel.

Wish we could have stayed longer at this wonderful hotel

Everything about this hotel is excellent, I can't think of anything that didn't exceed my expectations. The suite on the second floor had a large outdoor area with garden and even a little lemon tree. The view was lovely. I wish we could have spent more time in it, but there is so much to see and do on the Amalfi coast!

Parking is quite expensive in the hotel garage, but well worth it, rather than going through the hassle of trying to find somewhere public to park, which is almost impossible in this area. The best bit is that you can stop opposite the hotel and a staff member parks your car for you and then gets it back out of the garage for you on request.

Location is good. For those feeling fit and energetic, there are steps opposite the hotel which take you straight down to the beach and town. If you would prefer to give the steep steps a miss, then you can follow the road into town, which is more gentle and has lovely restaurants and shops along the way.

Last, but not least, the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and the hospitality industry. They made our stay so welcoming and stress free. Efficient, friendly and helpful in booking restaurants, excursions and providing great recommendations. Thank you to all of you for being so wonderful.

Lovely

Beautiful view, good location, light, bright and large room. Quite a perfect few days relaxing here after much more hectic and cramped areas of Italy. Nice breakfast and very friendly service. It was as nice as I had hoped.

Friendly, welcoming and attentive service in a hotel with great views.

My husband and I spent three nights in this delightful small hotel. Our room was on the second floor, with a large terrace furnished with a table, two chairs and two sun loungers, and a good sea view. The room had enough space and was equipped with a safe and minibar. The bathroom lacked a bath but the huge shower enclosure with rainfall shower (and smaller shower handset) made up for that. The hairdryer, as in most hotels, wasn’t great. So, the accommodation was comfortable and met all our needs. The key difference between the Punta Regina and many of its competitors is the staff. Without exception, everyone we spoke to was warm and welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was memorable for all the right reasons. We booked the garage (a smart move as parking is horrendous in Positano as on much of the Amalfi coast) and our car was parked and brought out on request. The reception team were happy to reserve a table at our preferred restaurant, and the breakfast staff were attentive, especially to my gluten-free requirement (I didn’t have to tell them, once we gave our room number, they knew immediately and brought a wide selection of baked goods even heating the croissant and toasting the bread without having to be asked.) We are particularly grateful to Francesca, Luca and Alessandro (I think that is his name!) in the breakfast space for their efforts. We highly recommend this lovely property to anyone wishing to stay in a well-situated and caring hotel.

No rooms in Positano in September

We made our plane reservations and then went looking for hotels. Positano was sold out, sold out. I have to hit every bookings site every day to hopefully find a room or forgo staying in this lovely seaside paradise. On my 5th day of praying a room here opened up. It was not crazy expensive so I booked it sight unseen. I would give this place a 5 star except we got a room on the second floor and it was horrible, very noisy and just not warm and fuzzy. So if you can get this hotel and get a higher floor you might have a great experience. I do give it a 4 star because the location was good, a fairly decent walk to town down a steep road but who cares. The staff was very accommodating. The real gem of this place was the rooftop pool and the entire staff that worked there. They were funny, so accommodating, so friendly, so attentive it made staying there very tolerable. We meet people from all over, enjoyed good conversation and good wine, good snacks. Breakfast was included and it did not disappoint. I feel bad saying our room was not up to par but this is what these reviews are for. Get on a higher floor and you will be fine. The street noise on the second floor is tough. But to the owners, you have an amazing place and I would stay again.
