How to Get There
Staff were very helpful. Good recommendations overall, although there was some bad advice we didn't take regarding a visit to Pompeii. (We asked about getting to Pompeii and were told to just hire a driver for 4 hours at 40 euros per hour...an hour there, 2 hours at Pompeii, then an hour back. Problem is two hours at Pompeii is nowhere near enough, and any time spent in line getting your tickets or audio guides would eat into that.)
Breakfast was really good.
We thought we were getting a room with A/C. It was not working. At first we were told it would be fixed the day we said something (i.e., the day we arrived). We came back later and it had not been fixed, We were then told it would be fixed the next day since the guy who works on that would be around the next day. And then the next day we were told it was totally out and there would be no A/C. So if A/C is important, you might think carefully about this possibility.
We recommend Pasitea Art Hotel in Positano, Italy. What a beautiful place. Great views over looking the Medterrainian Sea. The staff at Pasitea Horel treat you like family. Gio Gio, Antonio, and Lucas were great! Thank you all for making our stay a wonderful experience!👍🍷🍺
Lucas was a great Bar Server taking very good care of us👏👏👏
Positano is magnificent. A slice of heaven.
This is a small quaint hotel in Pasitano. Beautiful balcony views overlooking the bay and a FULL breakfast. Restaurants and shopping are close and the walks are magnificent! The town has zero crime rate. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommend!!!
Keep in mind 90% of the hotels in Positano have no swimming pools and are very tiny with limited amount of rooms. No matter where you stay in Positano you still need to walk down to the beach or you can take a taxi with sometimes has to drive around the whole mountain before going near the restaurants shops & the beach. I was expecting little bit of a bigger room than what I got. The balcony was overlooking the ocean which was the best part all the rooms have balconies that face the ocean. Unfortunately there were so many mosquitoes I could not leave that balcony door open more than a minute. The hotel has complementary breakfast which was basically European breakfast croissants a few pastries coffee which is different from American coffee and tea. The room was not spacious the bathroom had a tube but small sink. The staff was very nice. They ask to hold on to your key when you leave the hotel because the key is very heavy. You have the option of saying no. The hotel was very clean.
The hotel is clean and the decor is unique and beautiful. The views from the bougainvilla lined balconies are simply stunning. My only complaint is that our last day our bathroom had a sewer odor. The staff is terrific, and both restaurants for which they arranged shuttle and reservations were very good. We were not overly patient in waiting for the town internal bus and walked the 700 (?) steps up and down each day - sometimes twice. But that is to be expected - it's Positano!
