How to Get There
Cannot express how wonderful this hotel is. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Perfect location, just a couple minutes walk to the town centre. The hotel has a cute design and was very clean, rooms were tidied up twice a day. Will wholeheartedly recommend to everyone planning on staying in Amalfi! A big shout out to Giancarlo, thank you for being so amazing!
Constant Companion and I were with a culinary group touring Naples and Amalfi. Our second hotel was the Hotel Marina Riviera. We loved this boutique hotel and here is why: smooth, quick checkin, fantastic view of the the Amalfi Harbor and town(CC could have spent our 5 nights in Amalfi sitting on the balcony), a complimentary welcome bottle of local red wine, simple but lovely flower arrangements, all the expected amenities-large washcloths, plenty of soft towels, rain head shower and separate bath, quality toiletries(regardless what some folks have written), a heated towel rack, lots of mirrors, a large closet with plenty of hangers, in room safe, clean tiled floors, and a location just a short stroll to Amalfi town. If this is not enough to sell you consider an excellent breakfast buffet on the terrace overlooking the water/with the option to special order items all served by a very friendly staff! Yes, this should be your first choice in Amalfi.
FYI: my only criticism was that some of the electric outlets were a little temperamental!
We arrived late in the evening and check-in was quick. We had a deluxe sea view and the room was modern with great views of the water. The room was very modern and even had USB charging ports next to the bed. The bathroom was a good size and even included a full size soaking tub. The shower was a bit awkward as there were plastic clips with a cloth shower curtain on the open portion of the shower (with glass on the other half) but still half the water ended up on the floor. The balcony had a little table with two chairs for sitting and we enjoyed a glass of wine there each night.
Breakfast is included each morning and is served in there terrace. All the food was high quality and you could order eggs your way or an omelette. The view in the morning was quite beautiful and you could have sat there for hours. The servers here were excellent and really hustled to make sure everyone had what they needed.
The pool is on the top of the hotel and provided a good way to cool off during a hot July. The views were extremely beautiful and you could sit there for hours just enjoying the views and passing boats.
Overall while only there for a few nights we enjoyed our stay. The one consistent gripe was the service particularly at the front desk. Whenever I went to the front desk with a question they either weren’t there or would finish their conversation with their co-worker in the back room (they could see me standing there) before finally helping you.
The location of the hotel has a great location, within five minutes walking you’re in town. WiFi was very fast. I’d probably return next time I’m in Amalfi and if they were to fix the service there is no reason why this couldn’t be a five star hotel.
