The Lowdown

Situated in bucolic Kensington Village, a pedestrian and bike-friendly neighborhood just across the Bow River from downtown Calgary, this Greek Revival-style 19-room charmer is filled with striking artworks and contemporary furnishings. The streamlined guest rooms come in a palette of charcoal, white, and silver with large soaking tubs and huge rain showers. In the open kitchen at the property’s restaurant, a team of talented chefs whip up dishes like miso-cured local salmon and wild boar with winter vegetables and corn agnolotti.

Admire the beautiful Bow River as you cross the stunning Santiago Calatrava-designed Peace Bridge and check in for an appointment at RnR Wellness, where you can try the indulgent “Lucky You” package, comprising of a Jade Stone Facial and 60 Minute Jade Stone Massage.

A nice, boutique hotel in a nice part of Calgary. I have stayed here a few times and it is nice hotel in a nice location. It is not luxurious but very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The food is excellent! Close to a lot of small shops, bars and restaurants as well. Nice view of the river across a busy street (Memorial Drive). Good access to walking paths along the river though we did not partake. Beds are amazing!

Spacious room with gas fireplace was just what we needed. Kensington has so many food options it boggles the mind. Amazing view of the Calgary downtown skyline in front of the hotel. Within walking distance of the downtown core.

This was an amazing boutique hotel. A beautiful area of town and still very close to downtown. The staff were impeccable at their job and the room was extremely comfortable. It was a business trip and I felt like I was on vacation at a luxurious spa !
