Situated in bucolic Kensington Village, a pedestrian and bike-friendly neighborhood just across the Bow River from downtown Calgary, this Greek Revival-style 19-room charmer is filled with striking artworks and contemporary furnishings. The streamlined guest rooms come in a palette of charcoal, white, and silver with large soaking tubs and huge rain showers. In the open kitchen at the property’s restaurant, a team of talented chefs whip up dishes like miso-cured local salmon and wild boar with winter vegetables and corn agnolotti.
In the Area

How to Get There
Loved everything was my first stay but rebook soon! Loved everything from staff, rooms and restaurant and meals!
Location was fantastic! Also compliments water when checking out was a bobus! A great place for meetings too!
My husband and I had a beautiful early Valentines and special anniversary stay at the Arts hotel. It is a lovely boutique hotel and our view had a fireplace and view of the downtown skyline. The Kensington area is a lovely place to explore. What makes this hotel special is their attention to detail. Thanks for sweet surprise! The staff were excellent and we could not have asked for a better experience. We are world travellers and have stayed in many hotels but you can’t go wrong with this beautiful boutique hotel.
Our stay was fantastic. The customer service was top-notch, the taxis we had the staff book were booked promptly and they arrived on-time. We will be back, and in the meantime, I highly recommend Hotel Arts Kensington to anyone looking to go to Calgary
I am a frequent visitor to Calgary and have found that Hotel Arts is the best place to stay. They recently switched ownership but that has not changed the quality or experience, in fact it is probably better. The location is great. You’re close to lots of great restaurants as well as along bow river so you can go for a nice run. YYC cycle is around the corner for drop in spin classes if too cold to run outside. The Oxbow Restaurant serves fantastic food so one doesn’t even have to go to other restaurants. And as I said, it’s the small things I love. I love the fact that there are slippers, bottled water, face wipes, wipes for shoes, tea or coffee with local newspaper at a time convenient for you in the morning and turn down service with a lovely chocolate. I never have to bring body cream because their supplier is top notch providing quality products. And having fireplaces is wonderful especially in the winter. So I am a regular customer because I love all the thoughtful amenities. It’s the small stuff that really makes a difference between a nice stay and a great stay.
close to downtown, short walk across the river. lots of options close by in Kensington for food and beverages. 1st floor guests get some noise from the 2nd floor other wise quiet hotel. Clean and comfortable.
