How to Get There
I previously stayed at a few of the upper-end all inclusive resorts in Cozumel. I found the Presidente Inter-Continental to be a superior property. The location is great, the property is very well-maintained, and the rooms are very nice. I thought the service was as good as or better than the best service I have experienced at the nicer all-inclusive resorts in Cozumel. I also thought that the food was generally better at the Presidente, although it does not have as many restaurants as the best all-inclusive resorts. That was not a problem for our group - we just took a 10-15 minute cab ride to good restaurants in the city if we wanted more variety. I will definitely stay at the Presidente again when I return to Cozumel.
Service was five star. Beautiful location. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Diving spectacular.
Went with Scooby Du diving. Very good. Our dive instructor Matilda was great fun and very pleasant. Allie got her advanced open water certificate with Matilda.
The diving site was amazing. Everything was taken care of: they carried the equipment , helped us with equipment on and off, cleaned the equipment between dives. We always felt safe and pampered. First class. Will definitely return soon.
Thanks Matilda and Scooby Du diving!!
Thanks to staff at Presedential.
5 Star service
We had a very pleasant stay of a full week at the Hotel. The rooms were really nice, clean and comfortable.
The President's beach is according to my opinion the best of the whole island. We enjoyed it enormously.
We became addicted to the Faro Blanco Restaurant. Everything excellent: food, service, white tablecloths, etc.
The spirit of service of all the staff is great, and this is a very important factor when you are on vacations.
We liked very much the Mayan greeting Ma´ alob K´iin .
The ocean view room had a great view. The amenities and the hospitality of the Hotel was amazing. Totally loved it. The infinity pool is a huge plus. The slight downside is the distance from downtown. But you do get a taxi for 150 Pesos to Downtown.
We recently stayed at the Presidente (12-16 May 18) and loved everything about the property! We flew directly to Cozumel, and hired a private shuttle to take us to the resort--the shuttle only cost about $60 and we didn't have to tour all over the island dropping off every other tourist that came in that day. Money well spent! This was our first time at the Presidente and all we had to go on were the TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed!
We knew we had chosen well the moment the shuttle turned into the private, palm-shaded drive leading into the resort. This place is beautiful from start to finish! Check in was a breeze, with a cold refreshing fruit drink offered within moments of arriving at the front desk. A porter grabbed our luggage and escorted us to our room--3301.
We already had booked one of the recently updated rooms, but we upgraded further to 3301 based on where we wanted to be in relation to the beach. 3301 sits directly on the beach and offers a few palapas, a day bed and ladder access to the water. It was an amazing view to wake up to every morning! The room itself was gorgeous and LARGE! The shower was huge and had a rain pan as well as a handheld showerhead. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, and the pillows were perfectly soft. We slept hard every evening and always awoke refreshed and ready for the day. Two french doors in the back lead to a private patio with steps leading directly to the palapas and water access. Perfect location!
All four restaurants were amazing! Great choices, and top quality food for every meal! Our two favorite places to eat were the huge palapa for the breakfast buffet (I coukdn't get enough!), and El Cap right on the beach. El Cap has the best grilled lobster lunch I have ever had! You definitely will not go hungry!!
All in all, probably the best getaway my wife and I have ever experienced! You really don't need to leave the resort. Although we didn't dive, the Scuba operation on site looked top notch! Boats literally pick you up from the main beach area next to the breakfast buffet. All divers looked extremely satisfied.
The absolute number one best quality for the Presidente is found with their staff! At all levels--check-in, front desk, all restaurants, pool service, room service etc--the Presidente has nailed down the most critical facet of a quality resort: Customer Service! We will definitely be coming back!!
