How to Get There
No hot water and the parking on the ground level fills up fast. You don’t want 2 park in the basement. It’s super hot. It leaks & there were poodles of water all over and very dark. Didn’t feel safe at all down there. Only saw one camera
As an initial matter, I think it is important to note that I frequently travel nationally and internationally for work and leisure. It is based on those extensive experiences that I proffer my comments regarding my experience during a July 2019 stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montgomery (Downtown).
My colleague and I extend our greatest gratitude to Sabrina Tew because she is unquestionably an AWESOME Front Office Manager!! Her extraordinary customer service skills establish a benchmark of front office leadership that other hotels should endeavor to emulate. She was exceedingly accommodating and friendly at check-in, during our stay, and subsequent to check-out. Sabrina actually kept me on the phone line while she made adjustments to my invoice and confirmed that I received the adjusted invoice via email. The overall front desk experience was one of the best I have had in a long time. We found the other staff to be very friendly, professional, and accommodating, too. However, Sabrina’s performance was way above and beyond what we have come to expect from front office managers.
I highly recommend this hotel when visiting or working in or near downtown Montgomery. I will stay here again for sure.
I stayed in a hotel room with two other people and the room was just way too small. I was always hitting my legs on the bed or running into a chair because the rooms they offer are just too small. I do want to give them credit though because it is very centrally located, especially if you are interested in the civil rights history of Montgomery. I was able to walk or take a short Lyft to pretty much everything I wanted to see, even with Alabama’s heat. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, I just wish this place was a bit bigger and offered more amenities like a pool or bigger beds.
